The best of Georgia
Georgia is situated in the southern part of Caucasus. It used to be one of the Soviet Union Republics. It borders Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Armenia. The country is an amazing place for every tourist. One can find there something really interesting. Georgia is wonderful mountains with both easy routes and those more challenging and advanced for mountaineers. Mount Kazbek and steep profile Ushba are just waiting to be climbed. This Caucasian country is also a perfect place for winter sports lovers. Skiers and snowboard fans can visit some of the winter ski resorts in Gudauri, Bakuriani and also Mestia -- the capital city of Svaneti province, until recently very impenetrable region, where apart of winters attractions you can see some notable monuments of stone defensive towers. Those can only be seen in Caucasus region. Some of defensive towers are over 1500 years, you can't miss them. For those visitors seeking more wild nature, nerve-juggling experience, unique scenery, Georgia can offer Tusheti province. This mountain region is in a close neighborhood of Dagestan and Chechnya, you can access it only in the summer. However Georgia is primarily famous for its stunning historical monuments dated back to beginning of our era. Georgian history is unquestionably affiliated with Christianity. Georgia has adopted Christianity in AD 337 as a second country in the world following adjacent Armenia. On the other hand Georgia can attract you with its Black Sea coast and popular summer seaside resorts like Batumi or Kobuleti. Breathtaking scenery in the seaside can deliver astonishing material for both professional and amateur photographers. But the similar landscape can be found across whole country! Legendary Georgian hospitality will make you feel special no matter which part of the country you're staying. Sometimes it happens that having asked the locals for a direction you may need to accept their invitation to stay in their houses for a traditional feast. They share with you everything they have.
Georgia has experienced economic fall in the 1990s. In 2003 after Rose Revolution country has started to develop rapidly. The key sectors of Georgian economy are tourism, natural resources and trade. These sectors are most promising for Georgia's economy. Until adjacent countries will not start interfering into internal issues, Georgia has a potential to built strong economic positions in above sectors. It is already a very friendly place for real estate investments.
Pictures you can see here were taken between 2008-2010 by the members of Social Cultural Association Bridge to Georgia based in Krakow, Poland. You can see Tbilisi - capital city, Mtskheta -- historical capital city, Georgian Military Highway -- picturesque route from Tbilisi to Caucasus Mountains, Kazbegi, Batumi, Khertvisi -- one of the oldest fortress and settlement in south-western Georgia, Vardzia -- cave city, Tusheti -- wild and remote land where you can admire stunning mountains and stone defensive towers, Sighnaghi - small city in Kakheti region, renovated in Mediterranean style, David Gareja -- complex of monasteries with some of the sites made in cave, lovely situated, Telavi -- capital city of Kakheti province and adjacent winery yards, Gelati -- one of the most beautiful monastic complex, Svaneti -- marvelous, wild land with stone defensive towers, Pankisi Gorge -- piece of land inhabited by Kists (ethnic group in Georgia related to the Chechen and Ingush people), Gori -- this is where Stalin were born.
We strongly invite you to Georgia -- uniquely scenic and hospital land!

Svaneti (Georgia)
Svanetia is known for their architectural treasures and picturesque landscapes. The botany of Svanetia is legendary among travelers.[citation needed] The famous Svanetian towers erected mainly in the 9th-12th centuries, make the region’s villages more attractive. In the province are dozens of Georgian orthodox churches and various fortified buildings. Architectural monuments of Upper Svanetia are included in a list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Svan culture survives most wonderfully in its songs and dances. Svanetia boasts arguably the most archaic three-part polyphonic singing. Most of their songs are connected to round dances, are performed very loud and are full of dissonant chords.
Create unforgettable adventure in Georgia. We'd like to invite you in incredible tours around Georgia.

Gudauri & Kazbegi | Day 2 | 'Solo Travel' 2017 | Georgia
My day 2 in #Georgia: from #Tbilisi to #Ananuri, #Gudauri, #Kazbegi and back to Tbilisi
We started our trip from 9:30 hours in the morning from Tbilisi city. We used the Georgian military road - the historic name for the major route through the Caucasus from Georgia to #Russia.
We visited the Ananuri Church (church of the Mother of GOD) - is a castle complex on the #Aragvi #river in Georgia about 45 miles (72 kilometres) from Tbilisi. A #UNESCO #World #Heritage #site built in 13th century as a castle. The castle was the scene of numerous battles and the watch tower gave signal for the monastery for the war time.
We stopped awhile at the waterfall of Gudauri, a drinking water - great for passers to fetch water 'coz it's near the highway. Also we passed by the Gudauri village - a quite place. Next we stopped by the Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument or Treaty of Georgievsk Monument.
We changed our car when we went to Kazbegi mountain, roads going to Kazbegi is difficult especially that spring time - wet road. At the mountain and in the Gergeti Trinity church was freaking cold and windy too! I felt like the wind blew me away. :D
We took our lunch at a Georgian-Russian speaking restaurant. They can't understand English. Good thing I was with a Russian in the trip and she order food in behalf of me. Thank you! I ate Kachapuri with egg that cost about 7.00 lari (Gel7.00). From here 16:45 hours we went back to Tbilisi and reached there in the evening. (You can checked my blog [ for Georgian traditional foods) and

Visiting USHGULI, the hidden gem of Georgia
It took us only one day to hitchhike from Tbilisi to the region of Svaneti in Georgia so we took advantage of all the free time to visit one of the most remote village of the region;Ushguli. Luckily for us, hitchhiking there turned out to be super easy.We got picked up by a family from Israel who was also going there. We quickly fell in love with the ageless towers and old houses of this village. It felt like a place where time had stood still. The day after, we took a hike in the mountains surrounding the village of Mestia to go visit a huge glacier that brings water to the valley.
