Unique Competition at Lovers’ Park, Yerevan

Lovers’ Park has long been a cherished Yerevan landmark. In 2017, the sprawling, beautiful park also served as the site of a knowledge competition — a word game complemented by live music and appearances by celebrities.
Organized by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, the competition drew 300 college-age participants, including some from Artsakh. The winners were awarded university scholarships, provided by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.
In 2008, the Fund completely renovated Lovers’ Park, with the financial support of the Boghossian Foundation.

Following the celebration of Divine Liturgy at the St. Sarkis Cathedral of Yerevan, on the Feast of the St. Sarkis the Captain and His Soldiers, the clergy of the Araratyan Pontifical Diocese held a procession to Lovers’ Park in Yerevan.

On the occasion of the Feast-Day of St. Sarkis and His Soldiers, a procession of priests, officers, and students from various universities and institutions of Yerevan; marched from the St. Sarkis Mother Cathedral of Yerevan to Lovers Park, where an event dedicated to the feast was held.

The first day of Winter Festival 2008 of Armenia was Winter Parade which was held in 21 December 2008. It started from Abovyan Street and ended at Lovers' Park Yerevan: the main venue of Winter Festival 2008.
