Our Bali Tour:
The day started early at 6am on Lovina Beach where we set sail into the North Bali Sea. Dolphins in Bali are common in Lovina but it is still relatively low key due to how far away North Bali is from the main tourist hubs. We were so amazed to see wild dolphins jumping out of the water and swimming so close to our boat. This was easily one of our favorite Bali adventures so far. You can see many dolphins in Indonesia, but if you’re on vacation in Bali then we highly recommend Lovina dolphin watching.
We left Lovina Beach around 10:30am to explore more of the North of Bali. After the dolphin watching, we set off to visit a natural, holy hot spring. The Bali hot spring was nice, however we didn’t spend too much time there. There was so much more to do in this Bali day trip!
Next stop was easily the best Bali temple we have ever seen. It’s the Brahma Vihara Buddhist Monastery accompanied by an extremely beautiful set of grounds. Because this Bali temple isn’t very well known, it was really quiet and at times, we were the only ones there. This temple in Bali is a must visit during your North Bali adventure. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed!
Next up we explored another area in the North of Bali. Some locals and expats will say this is one of the best places in Bali that isn’t popular amongst tourists yet. It’s called Bali Twin Lake. We stopped off at the viewpoint here to admire the incredible North Bali scenery and were happy to feel the fresh mountain air. You can eat lunch at the Twin Lake viewpoint, however Bali Golden Tours arranged for us to have lunch at our next stop: Ulun Danu Temple.
The Ulun Danu Temple is like nothing we’ve ever seen. It reminded us of a mixture of a temple and an amusement park. There were multiple restaurants, a huge flower garden, a Bali Temple that sits over water (Ulun Danu Temple) and even playgrounds and speedboat rides available. Visiting the Ulun Danu Temple should definitely make your list of what to do in Bali if you have a family or small children. It’s an easy Bali day trip from anywhere on the island and there are activities for all ages.
As you may know, we received our 2 day tour tour free of charge. We were happy to come to Lovina beach where is the place to go watch dolphins but is it really worth it? No, watching dolphins in Bali doesn't worth it. Especially in Lovina Beach. Snorkeling in Lovina Beach is better than that. And visiting Pura Ulun Danu Beratan in bad weather. We weren't so lucky this day!

Lovina Bali: Lovina Dolphin Tour and Beach Life
Travel to Lovina Bali and the Lovina Dolphin Tour and Beach Life. Lovina is found on the North Coast of Bali and is famous for its dolphin sightseeing tours which happen every morning at sunrise (06:00AM) when boats leave Lovina Beach. Dolphin tours are easily organised at hotels and are cheap. The tour itself lasts around 2-3 hours and on our trip we spotted dolphins at least 10 times some coming right past our boat. We also caught the dolphins twirling in the air but failed to catch this on camera. The tour then ends at Lovina Beach which is a decent spot in the morning with fishing on the wooden pier and lots of local life along the coast e.g. temples.

Pantai Lovina atau Lovina terletak sekitar 9 Km sebelah barat kota Singaraja, ini merupakan salah satu objek wisata yang ada di Bali Utara. Wisatawan baik asing maupun lokal banyak yang berkunjung ke sana, selain untuk melihat pantainya yang masih alami, juga untuk melihat ikan lumba-lumba yang banyak terdapat di pantai ini.
Arti Nama Lovina
Love dan Ina oleh masyarakat diartikan sebagai Love Indonesia, Pengertian seperti itu tidak sesuai dalam konteks Panji Tisna. IIstilah “INA” secara umum sudah dikenal sebagai singkatan untuk kontingen atau rombongan atlet Indonesia untuk Asian Games 1963. Sedangkan, Lovina didirikan pada tahun 1953. Menurut Panji Tisna, Lovina memiliki makna filosofis, campuran dua suku kata Love dan Ina. Kata Love dari bahasa Inggris berarti kasih yang tulus dan Ina dari bahasa Bali atau bahasa daerah yang berarti ibu. Menurut penggagasnya, Anak Agung Panji Tisna, arti Lovina adalah Cinta Ibu atau arti luhurnya adalah Cinta Ibu Pertiwi.

Lovina Beach or Lovina is located about 9 km west of Singaraja, this is one of the attractions in North Bali. Many foreign and local tourists visit there, in addition to seeing the pristine beaches, also to see the many dolphins found on this beach. By renting a local fishing boat, we can approach dolphins. Various inns ranging from Inn to Cottages are available at very affordable prices.
