Su'ao's Crayon Castle (officially Luck Arts Crayon Factory) is a crayon factory castle in Su'Ao township in Yilan County, that has been specifically designed as a DIY experience center for kids where they can make their own arts and crafts, as well as their own set of markers, and crayon in the shape of Taiwan! The DIY activities include making markers and crayons, face painting, painting porcelain, making chalk, and water coloring. Basically, it is a paradise for young children.
Background:
The Lucky Art corporation started in Yilan in 1990, and has four factories worldwide, two in Taiwan, and one in Shanghai and Vietnam.
The factory in Yilan produces over 1.5 million crayons per day.
In 2008, the Lucky Art corporation opened its tourist crayon factory, which now sees more than 200,000 visitors per year.
In 2017, the crayon castle was expanded to double its size, and added a parking lot that can accommodate over 200 cars.

General DIY (4 activities and 100 NT coupon): 250 NT per person
Chalk DIY: 150 NT per person
Watercolor DIY: 350 NT per person
Paint Porcelain: 160 NT per person

8:30 AM to 6PM
(Tickets not sold after 4 PM. Sessions every half hour.)
How to get there:
By Car: Take National Freeway 5 south until it ends. You will see the Crayon Factory on your right as the road becomes the Haishan West Road.
By Train: Take the TRA to Xinma Station (新馬站) and then walk or take a taxi the remaining 500 meters to the crayon factory.

East Coast MarathonA sports association in the port city of Suao in the early hours of this morning held a marathon that drew nearly 7000 runners. It was in celebration of the reconstruction of a section of the east coast highway running from Suao to Dongao another coastal town, in part of a project to renovate the entire east coast highway. Several participants said they felt really lucky to run to their hearts’ content on the section of the newly-improved mountain road before it opens to motorists. Radish-Picking in ChanghuaA radish-picking activity in Changhua today attracted around 2000 parents and their kids, where they wrestled to pull the vegetables out of an entire field amid non-stop laughter. The organizers also provided kitchen utensils so that the families could also share the experience of making radish cakes together afterwards.

Mystery of Taiwan's Abandoned UFO Village
I'm fascinated by places that have been abandoned. When I heard whispers that such a place existed outside Taipei in Taiwan, I wanted to see it. The only problem? It's not on the map and I wasn't sure it even existed anymore. There's a lot of mystery and confusion about whether this 'village' is still standing. Knowing we might find nothing, we boarded a bus and crossed our fingers. And guess what? Taiwan's so-called 'Abandoned UFO Village' of Futuro and Venturo houses is still there. Watch this video to take a look around and peek inside this mysterious community that was abandoned in 1980 and has been called the most haunted place in Taiwan.

Today we’re going to take you around a city that completely won us over: Taipei. As two self-proclaimed foodies who are always on the hunt for the next meal, we loved the amazing mix of restaurants and street markets the city had to offer. On top of that, there were plenty of temples, museums, and nature escapes to keep us busy throughout the day, so we actually managed to pack quite a bit into our trip. With this video, we’re going to show you 30 things to do in Taipei, Taiwan, and you can count on a few foodie recommendations to be sprinkled throughout. Now let’s get started.

Yanis Marshall, a Britain's Got Talent 2014 finalist, is currently touring the world teaching and performing in countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Russia, England, Spain, France, and the United States. Pato de goma gigante del artista Florentijn Hofman desaparece luego de tormenta en el sur de China
Parece que el pato gigante del artista holandés Florentijn Hofman está en una racha de mala suerte en Asia.
Cuando estaba en exhibición en Taiwan el año pasado, el ave gigante de 54 pies de altura se ensució, se desinflo, y al final exploto en la víspera de Año Nuevo.
Según los informes, la obra gigantesca había estado en exhibición en Guizhou City, al sur de China desde el 4 de julio. Sin embargo, el pasado miércoles, una fuerte tormenta paso por la ciudad, y destruyo una plataforma metálica de 10 toneladas, a la cual estaba anclada el ave.
El coordinador de exposiciones Yan Jianxin dijo a los medios que la tormenta arrastro consigo la obra de arte, desapareciendo rápidamente en el horizonte.
Las autoridades realizan una extensiva búsqueda en un intento de recuperar el pato de goma, ofreciendo una buena recompensa. Sin embargo, los organizadores de la exposición también han confirmado que si no se puede encontrar el pájaro perdido, van a pedir un reemplazo de un fabricante autorizado en Taiwán.
