CROCODILE NIGHT SCUBA DIVING | Crazy things to do in Tulum, Mexico
Scuba diving in Mexico is an endless adventure. In this Tulum travel vlog I join my from Jordan from Drenched, and Sarah from Girls that Scuba, and night dive a cenote in search for crocodiles. Definitely one of the craziest things to do in Tulum, Quintana Roo!
If you are scuba diving in Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel or anywhere else in Rivera Maya, you'll be surprised by the diversity you can find on this coast. The reef diving is quite nice, especially in Cozumel, but in my opinion, the highlight is the many cenotes the dot the Yucatan Peninsula.
The freshwater sink holes have long been rumoured by the Mayan people to be the gateway to the Underworld. I'm not sure if that's true, but I know they are the gateway to phenomenal diving. KOOX diving offers an interesting tour if you're not faint of heart. Night scuba diving with crocodiles. How's that for wild things to do in Tulum!
The trick is that crocodiles, and other animals that can see at night, have reflective eyes. If you shine a flashlight in the dark, they reflect back some of that light towards you. This allows you to spot them immediately, where as in the day, they would remain heavily camouflaged. Hope you enjoy this travel vlog of scuba diving in Mexico!

One of the most intriguing attractions of Mexico’s popular tourist areas of the Riviera Maya, Cancun and Tulum, the Yucatan Peninsula’s many cenotes offer lucky visitors the chance to swim, snorkel and dive in crystal clear, mineral-rich waters surrounded by lush jungle greenery.
In this video, you'll see favorite parts from 4 different Cenotes all within 20 minutes of Tulum. Watch our family snorkeling with fish, turtles and scuba divers while bats dive bomb over our heads! our kids loved it and so did we. This was the highlight of our trip to Cancun and Tulum.
Whale Sharks in Tulum, Mexico | Cinematic Film | Bucketlistbinge
This was by far our favorite snorkeling experience thus far! We took a 1.5 hour long boat ride from Cancun, past Isla Mujeres, and into a whale shark feeding! There were over 50 whale sharks and we were lucky enough to be able to appreciate them up close. Where was your favorite snorkeling experience? Let us know in the comments!

Trolling the Caribbean Sea in Tulum, Mexico
On our Vacation in Tulum I was lucky to get some fishing in just 2 hotels away from where we were staying. We took a boat into the Caribbean Sea just outside our hotel to troll for saltwater gamefish such as Sailfish, Marlin, Kingfish, El Dorado, and Barracuda. In just a 3 hour fishing trip we were able to land 2 fish to keep for dinner and had a little excitement and heartbreak with a big one that got away!
Highly recommend staying at Hotel Cielo Maya in Tulum, great prices, great hotel, beaches, service, etc.

Barracuda Reef, Scuba Diving, Playa Del Carmen, Mexico
Barracuda Reef, Playa Del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Mexico
This is usually a second dive site, since it is shallow. We did this dive after a Mama Viña and still I was impressed by all the marine life I've seen in this nice reef. Barracudas, spotted eels, trumpet fish, grouper, sting ray, groups of sergeant major fish, and french grunts. This is a drift dive, so currents can be pretty strong
Picture this reef as a hand with five finger like outcroppings. There are many small holes to explore along the reef and with a sharp eye and some luck you may spot some Barracuda patrolling the reef. Near the end of the dive it is worth investigating the shallow cave that will take you to an exit on the top of the reef.

Sian Ka'an is a National Park covering 5280 km²/1304714 acres ,which makes it the third largest protected area in Mexico. Established in 1986 the biosphere reserve is as well an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and considered one of the most beautiful areas of the Yucatan peninsula.
Sian Ka'an in Mayan language means place where the sky is born. Once you are on board, driving down the lagoon, looking at the colors of the water and the sky you are going to understand why they called it like that.

Crocodile Chases Swimmer in Mexico
A swimmer in Mexico is chased down by a huge crocodile! A local on the bridge filmed the tourist as he swam for his life to get away from this massive sized crocodile.
This swimming tourist is lucky to be alive!
This video footage of the crocodile chasing the swimmer in Mexico was film from a bridge in Mexico by a local named Manuel.
Location: Boca Paila Bridge in Mexico's Sian Ka'an
The locals in the area do not dare go into the water as it's a well known fact that crocodiles make there home here.
Manuel was quoted saying
Unfortunately, that crocodile already associated us with food and as the video shows the boy was saved because the crocodile is well fed and chased at a pace that allowed him to reach the shore,
Hopefully, this video will inform other tourists about the dangers of feeding deadly wild animals

Wild Crocodile Warns Divers To Stay Away by Showing His Huge Teeth
Adventure and thrills are waiting for you right off the highway near Tulum Mexico. Located just off the highway in the area known as Tankha, in the Riviera Maya is where you will find the Cenote Manati. This cenote is also known as Casa Cenote. At one time there were a large number of manatees that lived in this cenote, thus giving it the name Cenote Manati. Within the cenote, the mangrove roots over flow into the crystal clear waters and provide the towering trees and bushes the water they need to flourish. The Cenote is easily accessible for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving and has a maximum depth of 6 meters or just under 20 feet. Its waters are transparent with a blue hue, giving snorkelers and divers excellent opportunity for photo and video recording. Since the waters are a mixture of salt and fresh water, some corals do grow within this beautiful cenote. Filled with rock formations and cracks in the limestone you can admire a variety of natural lighting effects beaming from above. Many varieties of fish both fresh water and saltwater inhabit the cenote. One of the main attractions for those that dare, is to swim up close to the resident Mexican crocodile in his natural environment. He may not always be situated on the same shallow ledge, but on this day the divers were amazed to see him. On the day Brent and his dive buddies visited, they were lucky enough to see the croc, he was huge!!! These Mexican crocodiles are different from other crocodiles in that they only have four toes on their rear legs. Crocodiles in other parts of the world, such as the salt water crocodiles of Australia have been known to be very aggressive. The Mexican crocodiles are much more docile and non aggressive towards us humans as you will see in the video. Known to have been living in this cenote for more than four years, he was first seen when approximately one foot in length. Now more than seven feet long he is growing at a remarkable rate. You may ask ”how do you know he is a he?”. The guide told Brent that the crocodile had been witnessed doing a “shake” approximately one year ago. Male crocodiles put on extraordinary courtship displays to attract females. They make low-frequency sound that no human can hear, and they do it in such a way that the water droplets on their back start to dance creating the low frequency noise in the hopes of attracting a mate. At times, curiosity of the divers to get closer was halted by the guide telling with a firm voice from a very short distance behind “guys, move back please, you are much too close”! They all observed the gesture from the guide. If in the Riviera Maya area, make this a must see during your visit.

Many apologies for the wait everyone. I'm sure you have all been anxiously anticipating our latest updates and progress in Central America. You're in luck, as this video is mostly the snorkelling tour where we had an amazing time; we saw Turtles, Box fish, an Eel, a very rare Grouper fish and some huge Nurse Sharks (up to around 10ft), Sting Rays and an Eagle Ray.
We managed to get right in amongst a feeding frenzy they were having and could stroke them and one small one tried to bite Ewar's goggles. Absolutely amazing experience; then we did spear fishing in the evening before the rum punch on the boat journey back and cooked the fish we had caught. Terribly sorry we lost some of the best footage, but you can certainly get a feel for the experience.
We then went up to Tulum with Amanda and Laura, two lovely Australian girls, and on to Isla Mujeres, as you shall see in the next vid.
We do not own this music, nor do we intend to make any profit from these videos.
