ONE NIGHT IN KRABI TOWN | Krabi Night Market Tour
We spent one night in Krabi Town, Thailand before heading to Bali, Indonesia. Prior to Krabi Town, we spent a week in Koh Lanta and fortunately left the island before a major tropical storm was expected to hit. After watching the news, the storm moved over Koh Lanta but other islands like Koh Samui were not so lucky.
While in Krabi Town, we got a chance to check out the day and night market. As usual, Thai night markets are full of delicious cheap food. After grabbing our dinner, we called it an early night because we needed to wake up early to catch a connecting flight to Bangkok for Bali.

In May 2018, we got married, quit our jobs, and booked a one-way flight to Bangkok, Thailand. It's not that we were unhappy with our lives, we just wanted to live more intentionally and abundantly. Stepping away from a traditional lifestyle of home to work, and repeat, was one of the best decisions we could've made. It has allowed us to grow into our new marriage, see more of the world, and learn about other cultures. We've traveled to five countries in Asia and counting. Our channel is a mix of lifestyle, travel, and general entertainment.

HONG ISLANDS TOUR KRABI THAILAND 2020 4K
Welcome to the Hong Islands tour. First, we visited the amazing Hong Island Lagoon, which is only accessible by boat during high tide, due to the shallowness of the lagoon. After that, you headed to the beautiful beach of the Hong Island, where we spent approximately one hour. The second island on the list was Pakbia Island. It started raining as we arrived, but after 10 minutes, the sun was back again. The third and last one, was the stunning Laolading Island. You just have to come here if you have the opportunity. We were so lucky, that we had this paradise for ourselves for one whole hour.
We definitely recommend this tour if you visit the Krabi area.
Thank you very much for watching

PHI PHI ISLANDS TOUR BY THALASSA TOUR, THALASSA BOAT TOURS, KRABI-WELCOME, THAILAND
If you like white sandy beaches, crystal clear water and the best snorkel in all Krabi, this is a tour you cannot afford to miss. We will show you the most stunning islands of Koh Phi Phi in one full day tour.
The archipelago of Koh Phi Phi comprises of 2 beautiful islands: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh.
On our way we will stop in the famous Phi Leh Lagoon, a natural lagoon with crystal clear sea water and surrounded by limestone cliffs. This is one of the most beautiful places in Thailand.
Another beautiful place is Maya Bay, an astonishing bay that has become the main tourist attraction of Phi Phi since “The Beach” was filmed here in 1999.
We can´t leave Phi Phi without trying some of the best snorkeling in the whole region. We will not take you to regular snorkel spots where the rest of the tour operators go, instead we will actually snorkel in real diving spots looking for the best marine life where we may be lucky enough to see sharks and maybe even turtles! Some of these locations include Bida Nok and Bida Noi and Palong, located 1,5 km south of Phi Phi Leh and west of this island respectively.

Krabi - City Video Guide
Krabi, located off the coast of southern Thailand, is widely considered one of the most beautiful parts of the continent. Whether you’re traveling to this popular province to relax and forget your cares, or you want a little excitement set in the tropics, Krabi has something for you.
The first step in your Krabi tour is probably beachcombing on its pristine shores. The famed Railay Beach is beloved by tourists and locals alike; when you walk along its white sands and stick your toes in the warm Andaman Sea, you’ll love it as well. Make sure you arrive at the waterfront early if it is peace and quiet you’re after, as competition gets stiff for a patch of sand.
Like rock climbing? You’re in luck. Krabi’s limestone cliffs attract climbers from around the world, and you can join their ranks in scaling these heights. For a quieter adventure set amidst pure, undisturbed natural beauty, head to Phi Phi Island, one of many islands surrounding Krabi. This is the place for exploring the wild jungles and waterfalls that dot the unspoiled wilderness.
The can’t-miss stops during your Krabi sightseeing include the enchanting night markets. These are the places to go for local-made clothing, crafts, and other souvenirs, and everywhere you turn, you’ll be entertained by street performers.
What’s your favorite part of Krabi?

Krabi Night Market
Krabi Night Market (Krabi Town Walking Street or Thanon Khon Dern in Thai) is certainly the most important shopping event in Krabi Town. It is held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 to 22:00 in Soi Maharaj 8 and on the 2,000sqm plaza situated right behind Vogue Department Store in downtown Krabi. With something like 50 stalls selling a wide range of products and street food, Krabi Town Night market gathers every weekend an incredibly large crowd for such a small area. Started in 2013, this weekly event allows visitors to get a glimpse into southern Thailand life and discover local artisans and artists who come here to present their products. A night market would not be a night market in Thailand without tasty snacks to grab, so there is a multitude of Thai street food favourites to sample here while wandering around this lively market.
The variety of items for sale from one stall to the other is quite interesting: standard fashionable T-shirts and fisherman’s pants are next to “handmade with real cow leather” handbags; while a few metres away you could find a gardening tools stall, then an “I Love Krabi” fabric bags stand, before reaching a booth selling oyster pearls jewellery, which itself faces a local artist selling revisited pop-art paintings. It seems that almost anything (plus the rest) can be found at Krabi Town Walking Street and all of it at lower prices than in the most renowned resort towns – Ao Nang for instance – of the province. As in most markets in Thailand, bargaining is expected; with a smile you could get these low prices even lower. As stated above: there is no market without food in Thailand. On that matter, Krabi Town Walking Street is pretty well-stocked. The rather large central plaza is covered with plastic tables and chairs surrounded by an impressive choice of stands selling prepared food from grilled satay (chicken, pork or beef brochettes dipped in coconut cream, chili and peanut butter sauce) to barbecued fish to fried squid egg to steamed crab, to cakes and sweets (kanom in Thai) and more! A large choice of drinks is also available – fresh orange juice, fruit shakes and beers – and there even is an original stall that sells cocktails such as long island ice tea, B52, Cuba libre and kamikaze, served in bamboo glasses, with prices ranging from 120 to 180 baht. There are also musical performances throughout the evening with children from Krabi Music School playing Thai tunes with traditional instruments, a Thai guitarist playing Thai Folk classics, and Thai dancing demonstrations on the large stage located on the central plaza.

We are pretty lucky with the weather...that's what he said :p
A very, very cool day, despite the heavy rain.
The girls from Singapore and our captain, as well as all the crew, were awesome.
Yesterday I walked all over the center of Ao Nang and check reviews on the internet to find the best boat tour to do and my choice was the Ranger Krabi Travel & Tour for only 500 Bath + 400 Bath for the national park fee.
We went to Tup Island, Chicken Island, Poda Island and Railay including Pranang Cave Beach.
And yes, the riff is dying. #whatyoudontsee

Phallus Shrine - Princess Cave / Phra Nang, Krabi, Thailand
Video: Samuel Degen,
Music: Sascha Ende, ende.TV
Thailand is a beautiful country with thriving cities and peaceful beaches. There is also a strong spirituality among the native people. It is a country full of legends, such as Phra Nang Cave.
Phra Nang is a beach with white sand and cool waters of the Andaman Sea. Some visitors are satisfied with lounging on the beach while admiring the beautiful scenery. Others wish to see the Phra Nang Cave and make offerings.
There are many legends surrounding the cave and the Princess Goddess Phra Nang. One legend states that Phra Nang was an Indian Princess who was killed at sea. It is believed that her ghost haunts the cave. Another story is that she was the wife of a fisherman. On one of his trips into the Andaman Sea he never returned. It is said that the wife lived for the rest of her life in the cave, waiting for his return.
The people who live off of the sea make offerings to the Goddess for good luck. However, the cave is known for the strange wooden phallic symbols. These carved penises are placed before the cave as offerings for fertility.
It is important to remember that this is a spiritual place for the Thai people. It must be treated with respect. Many of the locals strongly believe that the Goddess resides in the cave. Any disrespectful behavior will be deeply insulting.
Getting to the cave is not difficult. It is sometimes called The Princess Cave on maps. The beach can be reached with a quick boat ride from Ao Nang. There is a path that will take visitors around the base of a cliff, and then right to the beach.
The legend of the Phra Nang Cave is one of the many wonders of Thailand. This strange and mysterious country has some of the most beautiful scenery one will ever see. Experience all this intriguing country has to offer.

#7: Krabi Thailand
I was searching for something along the lines of I'm over it.; something Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys might croon into a distorted microphone.
I'm givin' up on this tie and suit, man.
Drop me off on a deserted island.
I've given up on these tired pursuits.
Now I'm goin' to bed with my rum and ice, man.
There's a simplicity to a place like the Andaman Sea: hop on a boat, lay on a beach, crack open a beer, get a massage ... or three. Scanning the scenic karst formations is like looking for your fortune at the bottom of a Turkish coffee. All sorts of shapes appear, and given the intensity of the sun and the extreme likelihood of mid-afternoon drinking, the experience in Krabi is practically hallucinogenic.
On our first afternoon, we visited Koh Phi Phi Don and environs. The famous 'Maya Bay' where Danny Boyle/Leo DiCaprio shot The Beach was stupidly overcrowded, yet the water crisp and rejuvenating. Much of the day we cruised around on a speed boat, looking but not touching, shooting pictures of lagoons instead of swimming in them.
The second afternoon was more befitting of a beach holiday. We took a charming long-tail boat ride from Ao Nang to the nearby islands, and given long stretches of time to explore and/or do nothing but lie in the sand or frolic in the sea. At 'Chicken Island' we were greeted by the cicadas singing the 'last song of the summer,' as the locals put it. I couldn't help but think about Alex Garland's The Beach, and how nice it would be to abscond to a deserted island ... catching fish by day, smoking dope at night; the rat-race a vague and distant memory.
Back in Ao Nang we hooked up with a Danish fellow named Bobby who told us about the King Cobra show going on just outside of town. Apparently, the head charmer, Johnny, is the best in Thailand. He catches his own snakes and none of them have been defanged/de-poisoned. My camera died midway through the show but there is plentiful footage on youtube of Johnny kissing the king cobra. We were lucky to see him put the snake's head inside his mouth as well. Keep in mind, these snakes are deadly poisonous. A single bite from the King Cobra can kill you in 20min.
After a sun-drenched weekend of boat rides, beach-combing, swimming, drinking, and massages, the only thing left to do is hop on the back of an elephant. I have mixed feelings about working animals, but the elephants seemed happy. The footage doesn't capture the craziness of going up and down the steep embankment, but who has hands for filming when you're in danger of falling off an elephant.
My favorite shot comes near the end ... one of those long shots of palm trees, late afternoon shadows, and the sun saying Ok I'll give you a break now, just as it blinds you one last time.
Divine.
