Portloe and the Lugger hotel Cornwall

Portloe is one of the prettiest villages in Cornwall. It's steep sided valleys mean that there has been little modern development. This is still an active fishing harbour and the name is derived from the Cornish Porth Logh which translates as cove pool.

The Lugger hotel boasts stunning views across the harbour out to sea and serves locally sourced produce in particular lobster, crab and shellfish.

Bodinnick Ferry across the river Fowey then a walk to Polruan, back across on the Fowey Ferry, walk through the town returning to Bodinnick Ferry car park. Knackering but worth it. A good time.
