River Kemijoki waiting for winter at Rovaniemi City Centre, Finland
River Kemijoki, the longest river in Finland with total length of 550 kilometers, still silently waiting for yearly ice cover in the middle of November (18.11.2018).
The video was recorded between Jätkänkynttilä bridge (built in 1989) and 2018-renovated Ounaskoski Bridge (originally built in 1934, detonated by German troops 10.10.1944 and rebuilt in 1951). River Kemijoki flows beside Rovaniemi City Centre just couple of kilometers south from the arctic circle. From here river still flows down about 110 kilometers in its way to the Bothnian Gulf (through seven water power plants in its way before reaching the sea).
Video was recorded with DJI Mavic Pro Drone and uploaded to Youtube without editing.
