Luna Park is classic old time amusement park in the middle of Sydney, Australia. On the northern shore of Sydney cove, at Milsons Point in the Kirribilli area of town it's perfectly located. It's free to visit, but of course theres a fee for going on any ride.
There are lots of the old amusement park classics such as carousels, Ferris wheels and Roto which was using centrifugal force as well as the never kinds such as Big Splash and Ranger. The entrance is through the mouth of a giant clowns face.

Luna Park Sydney (originally Luna Park Milsons Point, also known as Sydney's Luna Park) is an amusement park located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Luna Park is located at Milsons Point, on the northern shore of Sydney Harbour.

The park was constructed at the foot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge during 1935, and ran for nine-month seasons until 1972, when it was opened year-round. Luna Park was closed in mid-1979, immediately following the Ghost Train fire. Most of the park was demolished, and a new amusement park was constructed; this originally operated under the name of Harbourside Amusement Park before resuming the Luna Park name. The park was closed again in 1988 as an independent engineering inspection determined that several rides needed urgent repair. The owners failed to repair and reopen the park before a New South Wales government deadline, and ownership was passed to a new body. Reopening in 1995, Luna Park closed again after thirteen months because of the Big Dipper rollercoaster: noise pollution complaints from residents on the clifftop above the park caused the ride's operating hours to be heavily restricted, and the resultant drop in attendance made the park unprofitable. After another redevelopment, Luna Park reopened in 2004 and has continued operating since.

Luna Park is one of two amusement parks in the world that are protected by government legislation; several of the buildings on the site are also listed on the Register of the National Estate and the NSW State Heritage Register. The park has been utilised as a filming location for several movies and television shows.

Entry to Luna Park Sydney i free, so come down with the kids and enjoy the atmosphere of one of Sydney's much loved icons.

Check out the Tumblebug, one of Luna Park Sydney's rides. Throw your hands in the air as this ride takes you up then down and around and around. One of the most enjoyable rides in the Park, the Tumble Bug will leave you wanting to do cartwheels down the midway.

Big Dipper At Luna Park Sydney Australia

The Big Dipper was a wooden roller coaster operating at Luna Park Sydney from 1935 until 1979. It was demolished in 1981. First constructed in 1930 to an American design, the wooden Big Dipper roller coaster was a mainstay of Luna Park Glenelg during its four years of operation. The ride was dismantled and shipped to Sydney when the Glenelg park went into voluntary liquidation in 1934, and became the biggest attraction of the newly-opened Luna Park Milsons Point (which was later renamed Luna Park Sydney).

Another well-spent day in Sydney. Welcome back to travel vlog series of Sydney + Melbourne 2018. I think this is Day 3 in Sydney. Unfortunately my sister couldn't join us so I just went with my cousin. We went to Luna Park first, that was around 10-11 am. You can catch a train (arrive at Milsons Point Station and walk a bit) or a wharf from Circular Quay to get there. Easy. Took some pictures and video. Then straight off to Bondi Beach. We caught the bus 333 from Town Hall bus stop to the beach. It took like 30 mins. Had some gelato, it was not that great. After that, I went to change and went swimming. The water was so fine but a lot of people. I think it's a bit overall. The shop and the walkway/beach walk were beautiful. Wait until you see me at the Manly beach, that beach is worth going to too. Btw, that was our first time seeing Blue Bottles! Luckily I got out in time before they all washes up to the shore!!! Lucky me!
