This is how people usually get to and from Savary Island from Lund up North of Powell River on the Sunshine Coast. I am not sure how much it costs now... Maybe someone who posts might know.

Desolation Sound & Sunshine Trail 2018
This trip was in two parts. The first week was with a group of (8) family and friends kayaking Desolation Sound. We took the ferry from Comox to Powell River and then stayed over night at the Terracentric cottage in Lund Harbour. The following morning we had two water taxi's take us on a 40 min ride to the Curme Islands as a base camp. Small island with little vegitation but an excellant location with great views. We called it the rock!
The following next few days we made day trips to Penderex Haven, Tenedos Bay, Rosco Bay and finally we paddled back to Lund via Copeland Islands. It was an excellant trip and we highly recommend Terracenteric for its auwsome accomodations & kayaking gear c/w water taxis, and its cottage on the water in Lund harbor near the Boardwalk resturant.
Upon arrival in Lund, my youngest daughter arrived with her husband and grand kids for the second leg of my holidays.
The next morning Terracenterric water taxied us to Sarah point for a 18 km hike back to lund. The first day was a challenging hike in the heat + 35 deg, but the grand kids did very well. We arrived at Wednesday Lake (km 10) to find an excellent swimming hole.
We decided to stay two nights to recover from the heat . On the third day we hiked the final 8 km to Lund in much easier terrain and cool morning heat. Upon arrival we dropped off our hiking gear, had lunch at the Lund Hotel and later a quick trip to Powell River.
The following day we caught the morning ferry ride back to Comox.
All in all it was an excellant trip.

From our campsite in Powell River, we drove to Lund where we rode the Water Taxi for $11 each person one way to Savary Island. Half price for kids 6 and below. Before boarding, we already pre arranged our pick up time. It would be ideal to go there early and spend the day in the island so you can swim more and have fun in the beach. We only spent 2.5hrs on the island. Not enough!
