Grand River Luther Marsh Headwaters, Dufferin County Canada
Luther Marsh is a major headwater source for the Grand River. Threatened with farmland drainage in the 1940's, a 1952 GRCA dam stabilized the river's flow. The 6500 hectare wetland is a protected wildlife area managed by the Grand River Conservation Authority. Autumn views of Luther Lake and its forested shores.

March 28 2015 - Minor Aurora - Luther Marsh Ontario
2 very fast substorms with this minor show. Both visible to the eye when they got going but the mild glow was pretty weak. Had my first frost flowers ever form on my lens which is the blob that I tried to work away but it never did that well. Actually think the original unworked pics are better but I am not rendering another 40 mins to test that theory.

Description
Grand River Lake Belwood Autumn, Wellington County Canada
The former 1879 Credit Valley Railway linking Belwood (1858) became the Elora-Cataract Trail. The 1942 Shand Dam and reservoir control seasonal flooding. The reservoir augments summer flows; the GRCA manages the dam and 1350 hectare recreation park. Spring, summer and autumn views of Belwood Lake and its forested shores.

Great Getaways: Beaver Valley - Ontario Epic Ride
from Great Getaways #10007 Ontario Epic Ride
Visit our Travel Planner for this trip!
The Beaver Valley is one of Ontario's most spectacular natural features. The area provides four seasons relaxation, excitement, recreation and tourism facilities in unspoiled countryside.
If you've never stood at the top of a waterfall, for a droplet-eye view down the gorge, Eugenia Falls will take your breath away. Plunging into Cuckoo Valley, the Beaver River drops 30 metres over the Niagara Escarpment. One of the highest in Eastern Canada, this waterfall was the site of an early hydroelectric power station.
Nestled at the foot of the slopes, the Village is the lively centre of the Blue Mountain Resort where there is always something happening! Lounge beside the fire pit and enjoy buskers, concerts and a host of winter events. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, stroll down the cobblestone streets visiting unique shops, or stop into one of the many restaurants for a gourmet meal or quick treat.
With Grey County being nestled amongst the Niagara Escarpment and along Georgian Bay, naturally there are many spectacular Panoramic Vistas to capture here.
