Lyon est une ville située au sud-est de la France,
au confluent du Rhône et de la Saône.
C'est le chef-lieu du département du Rhône et de la région Rhône-Alpes. Ses habitants s'appellent les Lyonnais. Lyon était historiquement une ville industrielle qui a accueilli de nombreuses industries pétrochimiques le long du Rhône, nommé le couloir de la chimie. Après le départ et la fermeture des industries textiles, Lyon s'est progressivement recentrée sur les secteurs d'activité de techniques de pointe, telles que la pharmacie et les biotechnologies aux côtés de Grenoble. Lyon est également la deuxième

LEi Xchange Seminar - Lyon September 2011
LEI Xchange Seminar was the platform for sharing and improving the Language Exchange Network.
During 4 days in Lyon, France, leaders and participants of language exchange groups talked with one another, sharing best practice and discussing and debating about multilingualism, volunteering, European identity, interculturality and social integration.
A lot of activities were organized such as roundtable discussions, debates, working groups on specific topics, as well as sightseeing, language games, etc.
This seminar aimed to create a better connection between the language exchange groups around Europe, to improve the links between the groups and to create a good framework for further joint projects.
This seminar also aimed to celebrate the European Day of Languages.
5 countries took part to this seminar (France, Hungary, Italy, Poland, United Kindgom).

France: Clashes grip Lyon in first Yellow Vest outing since Macron speech
Clashes erupted as hundreds gathered in Lyon for the 24th 'Yellow Vests' protest on Saturday, the first since a major speech by French President Emmanuel Macron, on Thursday.
Footage shows clashes between Yellow Vests and police, who pushed protesters away from the city centre. Authorities had reportedly previously forbidden any demonstration in the centre of Lyon.
France has been rocked by six months of weekly protests by the Yellow Vests movement, in which tens of thousands gathered on the streets every Saturday since November 2018 for a variety of grievances ranging from taxes on fuel to income inequality.
On Thursday, after weeks of several weeks of the so-called 'Grand Debate', in which Macron said he had taken note of the French people's grievances, he responded with commitments to put the climate at the heart of his policies, address tribalism and Islamism, as well as a rethink of European border policy.

Fast Schindler elevators - Parking P2 at La Cité Internationale - Lyon, France
This was recorded one day after the attacks in Paris, everyone here was only talking about that. Everyone was afraid, and I didn't want to be suspicious, so there are only short footages of these elevators. I'll try to come back again.
1st bank - Schindler Eurolift : 0:02
2nd bank - Schindler M-Series : 1:13
These elevators were not built at the same period, the first bank was finished in 2002 while the second one has been finished in 1998. Both banks have inteligent leveling !
Notice the XX floor in the first elevator. There are doors for that floor, and there's a button in the cab, but no floor number and no call button on that floor... Rather strange !
This is located at Cité Internationale, a huge multi-use complex, with apartments, hotels, a huge partially underground convention center, a cinema, some museums, 2 concert halls, and the headquarters of Interpol. That makes a lot of buildings ! They were all built between 1996 and 2002.
There must be more than 100 elevators in here, ALL were Schindlers when built, some have been modernized since then.
