Lyttelton, Christchurch, New Zealand
Lyttelton (Maori: Ohinehou) is a port town on the north shore of Lyttelton Harbour, at the northwestern end of Banks Peninsula and close to Christchurch, on the eastern coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
Due to its establishment as a landing point for Christchurch-bound seafarers, Lyttelton has historically been regarded as the Gateway to Canterbury for colonial settlers.
An Afternoon in Lyttelton | New Zealand [VLOG 35]
Lyttelton is a port town on the north shore of Lyttelton Harbour, at the north-western end of Banks Peninsula and close to Christchurch, on the eastern coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
This is one of Mums favorite places in Canterbury, and its a must visit place every time she comes to Christchurch. Its a tiny little town but the largest port in the South Island. (2018)
It reminds me of a miniature Wellington :) :)

Rise up - Lyttelton. Christchurch Earthquake 2011
A tribute to Lyttelton and it's amazing people after the massive 6.3 earthquake, that occurred on the 22nd of February 2011. The town just outside Christchurch New Zealand, has an amazing spirit that shone in days after the earthquake. That spirit is captured in this poem read by David McPhail.
The magnitude 6.3 (ML) earthquake struck the Canterbury region in New Zealand's South Island at 12:51 pm on Tuesday, 22 February 2011 local time (23:51 21 February UTC). The earthquake was centred 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) west of the town of Lyttelton, and 10 kilometres (6 mi) south-east of the centre of Christchurch, New Zealand's second-most populous city.
It followed nearly six months after the magnitude 7.1 Canterbury earthquake of 4 September 2010, which caused significant damage to Christchurch and the central Canterbury region, but no direct fatalities.

Fishing at Te Oka Bay, near Christchurch NZ
Lucas and I had some man time today fishing - we were just mucking around getting our feet wet! Lucas's hat blew away in the wind and I caught the only fish on my first cast. We had a wee pool near us where we kept him for a short time before releasing the fish.
