India beat England by 3 wickets | India Vs England 1st ODI match

Right then! The ODI series has kicked off in style with both teams giving it their all but in the end it was India who came out soaring. Both teams will now clash for the second ODI on 19th January, 2017 in Cuttack at 1330 IST. Do join us for the same. Until then, it's goodbye from us. Cheers!
MAN OF THE MATCH, KEDAR JADHAV starts by saying this was a great feeling as his contribution helped India win the game and that too in front of his home crowd. Adds this innings was all because of Kohli as he has done many a times for the country and today I got the chance to do it for my country. He honestly says running between the wickets with Kohli isn't easy at all and informs that his cramps are fine now.
INDIAN SKIPPER, VIRAT KOHLI is really happy with this chase and says it will take a time to sink in. Adds with 62/4, you chase 350 down, with 4 quick's,in the opposition, it's never easy but is elated as they have done it. Praises Jadhav for his rollicking effort and credits him for the temperament he showed. Informs he said to Jadhav to just stay there and England shall panic and they eventually did. Continues praising him by saying that getting a ton at number 6 requires guts and this should be a special moment for him. On the wicket, he says the wicket was placid. Ends by crediting the English side for giving them a good fight and thanks the crowd as well for supporting.
ENGLISH SKIPPER, EOIN MORGAN is a bit disappointed with what just happened. Focuses on the partnership between Kohli and Jadhav which took the game away from them. Adds even 350 is not enough on the board and feels they didn't play at their best today and clearly can feel it as his side has chased over 350 in the ODIs. Credits Stokes for putting his hand up during the businesses end of the innings. Ends by saying they would look to put in a better show next time.
A great beginning for Virat Kohli as the permanent skipper! The chase master once again was in his elements but one cannot undermine the importance of Kedar Jadhav, who also stroked a valuable century. The local lad batted with great pace and never allowed the pressure to mount on his skipper. He, however, was not very swift between the wickets, he had the strokes to make up for it. Overall, India will be pleased with the outcome of this match where they were once tottering on 4 for 63.
England will be distraught at the moment! They put up a brave batting show to pile on a big total and their bowlers got them off to a brilliant start as well. The visiting team had India on the mat after picking four wickets quickly but then had no answers to Kohli and Jadhav's brilliance. The English team though got a sniff once they broke the big stand but failed to capitalize. Stokes, Ball and Willey were among the wickets but they weren't effecting enough in creating pressure.
