UK Shetland Coastguard practicing lifting from the dive boat MV Valkyrie at sea in June 2011
Bent diver winched off by coastguard
During a club diving trip on MV Valkyrie to Shetland, one of our group unfortuantely surfaced with an undeserved bend (dive was within limits). Shetland coastguard were called and lifted her off to Kirkwall chamber where she spent most of the week in and out of the pot.
Swimer? Diver? Lifter?
Scapa Flow, Orkney Islands, Scotland, UK §11 bestätigen! (paragraph eleven confirm!) 16. June 1919, 10:30 a.m., Admiral v. Reuter ordered to sunk the fleet. 74 ships of the Kaiserliche Flotte! Some are still there for wreck diving :-)
The Scapa Flow diving experience.
A short movie showing some of the dive sites in Scapa Flow. The wrecks and gloomy lighting make for a both thrilling and beautiful diving experience.
After doing a drysuit and nitrox course in the beginning of the week I was trying out my new camera set up the rest of the week. Low light makes for a grainy movie and keeping the camera steady was a little bit more challenging in the dry suit.
But all in all I'm very satisfied with the footage and am curious to see how the next dive trip will pan out. So enjoy the film and don't be shy to post comments.
