Travelling on the Mablethorpe Sand Train!!
Whilst on holiday in Skegness, my family and I visited Mablethorpe which we adore very much. One of our favorite attractions is the famous Mablethorpe Sand Train, bringing smiles to people since 1952! Its always a treat to jump onto this remarkable Sand Train and take a ride along the beautiful Mablethorpe beach, as well as taking the train for a slash through the water. Its no wonder we went on it twice in one day. Riding between Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and the wonderful town of Mablethorpe on the Sand Train always brings a smile to me and my family and I hope that this video does the same for you. If you've never been on the Sand Train I recommend it to anyone with a family and to those who love to go for the ride. Enjoy.
(P.S. i do not own the music in the video, and i apologies for the shakiness).
Skeggy Sand Train Pt3

Miniature Railways of Great Britain The Mablethorpe Miniature Railway August 2018
Mablethorpe M.R is a 7 1/4 gauged railway that runs around the edge of the Queens Park Putting green.
A petrol driven steam outline loco takes you through a tunnel and cuttings twice around for your ride.
It is nice to see these seaside railways still giving the children loads of fun and long may it continue.
We were very surprised to see that it opened at twelve o'clock (then it was late) on a Bank holiday Saturday, with everything else open and earning good money, the money they must have lost!
We enjoyed our time by the seaside lovely sand on the beach, well worth a visit.

Mablethorpe is a small seaside town in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. Mablethorpe as a town has existed for many centuries, although part of it was lost to the sea in the 1540s. For example, records of the Fitzwilliam family of Mablethorpe Hall date back to the 14th century. In the 19th century, it was also a centre for ship breaking during the winter. Mablethorpe Hall is to the west of the town along Alford Road. It is near the parish church of St Mary
Along with many small seaside villages and some inland towns and villages, Mablethorpe lost its railway station in 1970 because of the Beeching Axe. The old railway station is today the site of the town's sports centre. Stagecoach Interconnect 9 runs through the town, the half way point between Skegness & Louth. Generally an hourly service with summer Sunday services only operating between Skegness & Mablethorpe. Grayscroft Coaches operates numerous services from their base on Victoria Road in the town, including service 1 to Louth via Manby. Brylaine operates service 96/96A connecting Mablethorpe with Alford & Spilsby generally every 2 hours.
Mablethorpe is located within the East Lindsey council district of England. Mablethorpe is administered with Sutton-on-Sea and Trusthorpe as the civil parish of Mablethorpe and Sutton. The former parish of Mablethorpe covers a rectangular area inland along the A1104 Alford Road towards Maltby le Marsh as far as the boundary between the LN12 and LN13 postcode at Grange Leisure Park
One of Mablethorpe's long-standing traditions, its sand train, operates to take visitors to and from the northerly point of the beach. Mablethorpe's cinema, the Loewen, lies on Quebec Road. The cinema was previously known as the Bijou. The Dunes leisure complex lies on Mablethorpe's seafront. In 2008, the old Dunes Theatre became Sharky's Bar following a refit, however, in 2012 the complex was returned to its original state and branding. Mablethorpe has long been known for its traditional seaside amusement arcades.
