Macahambus Adventure Park Tour
A tour to Macahambus Adventure Park in Cagayan de Oro City where the Macahambus Cave and Macahambus Gorge are located.
Macahambus Cave is a scenic cave in the Misamis Oriental province, part of Cagayan de Oro, in the Philippines. The area of the cave is part of the tropical Macahambus Forest nature reserve.
The cave, which houses a colony of bats, is a tourist attraction, and it is equipped with path and walkable scenic trails;[2] one end of the cave leads to a veranda overlooking the Cagayan River.[citation needed] About 200 meters from the cave itself there is a doline, improperly referred to as the Macahambus Gorge.
The place was the site of the Battle of Makahambus Hill (4 June 1900), the first of the few battles won by the Filipinos during the Philippine-American War.
The Filipino troops in Macahambus were led by Lt. Cruz Taal and Col. Apolinar Velez. - Wiki

Unknown Falls & Cave in Cagayan De Oro, Sitio Leropan | The Weekend Break Ep 10
(Click 1080pHD)
Unknown Waterfalls & Cave of Cagayan de Oro
Even though Cagayan de Oro is known as a metro city of Mindanao for having a lot of business establishments, subdivisions & other urban stuff. Still it has a lot of Natural Wonders that people didn't really know about & havent been explored. One of these is this nameless waterfalls & cave at Sitio Leropan, a small area in a rural part of the city.
Waterfalls info:
The falls is made of 2 Small waterfalls (the other above the other one)
The Miniwaterfall above is only around 8 ft
The Waterfall below is around 15 ft
& It's not deep
The water continues until it reaches the Iponan river
Cave info:
The Cave beside the waterfall has a small opening & a flowing river from the inside. it is deep & dark since there is no hole that the light can get in. But many locals have explored the cave already and they said it has a dry area inside with big rocks that looks like tables & chairs. No recorded history of the place only old unproven stories like the cave was a hidding place of people during the Japanese war.
it's not really safe to explore it without an expert.
Add. info: there's a news before that someone died inside but no one knows if it's true.

Macahambus Cave Exploration
HOW TO GET HERE:
Macahambus Cave is located at Macahambus Hill, Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City. From the Airport (Cagayan de Oro Lumbia Airport), you can ride a jeepney (Talakag route) or better yet, ask the taxi drivers to take you there though it costs a lot. Take note, there's no entrance fee. It's free!
Macahambus Cave is the most popular and most frequently visited cave in Cagayan de Oro City since the cave itself is absolutely a historically picturesque spot.
Macahambus Cave is a thru cave, which means it can be entered at one end and exited at the other.
It has three chambers, the hide-out and exit of Kagay-anon soldiers and their families in the Battle of Macahambus Hill which marked the first victory of the Filipinos against the Americans in the entire Phil-American War in this nation in 1900.
On the center part of the cave, you need to bend your knees for you to enter the other part of the cavern which you'll see the Cagayan de Oro River.
The cave provides a great view of Cagayan de Oro River.
The Hon. Vicente Y. Emano City Mayor strongly urges all visitors to keep the cave and its surroundings clean, support its preservation, nurture and promote this beautiful gift and historical legacy for future generations.
I am proud to be a Kagay-anon!
