5 minutes walk from the Machida station, there you can see Nakamise Shopping Street(仲見世商店街). At the gate there are famous shops of Xiaolongbao(焼き小龍包/Fried Soup Dumpling) and Oban-yaki(Japanese cake with sweetened bean paste). From small children to the elderly, all kinds of people go to and fro there.

Machida city is located at the south end of Tokyo, and Machida station, an intersection of the Odakyu and JR lines, which is connected to a shopping district. Although there are more than 1,000 businesses in the Machida station shopping district, there is hardly anyone in the area at night. Before installing the network cameras, the district was virtually defenseless.
But Bosch came into the picture. Since installing the surveillance system in the shopping district, the network cameras have demonstrated the power of their high-level surveillance functions. Thanks to the high-resolution of the network cameras and the clarity of their images, it has been much easier to identify the perpetrators.

説明Eisa is Okinawa's traditional dance that uses native drums. It is performed throughout the year, but it is especially common in the summer. Okinawan culture has been getting popular around the country, and there are many Eisa fans in Japan. It is now one of the most famous Japanese sub-cultures. We have created and practiced today's dance solely for today's performance.
Today's dance includes some elements of karate and boujutsu, Okinawa's another traditional dance culture. If you can, we will appreciate handclaps. Here we go!

Another long overdue video that's been in the works for a while, this time coming to you from Machida, Tokyo.
This past fall I had the amazing opportunity of going on a mission trip to Japan. Suffice to say, it was lovely, but the people and the memories were lovelier. I put this video off for so long because I knew I barely had any clips, after deciding I was gonna shoot the whole rest of the time exclusively on cheap disposable film cameras. But the little footage I did have made for a nice little trip down memory lane. That's all, thanks Machida, you were wonderful.
