Mackay Mansion - Virginia City, NV
This video was recorded at Mackay Mansion, Virginia City, NV August 28th, 2015. This video to my knowledge contains no light anomalies, only a couple were captured in photographs. The video has several EVPs, some noted and some I did not hear, some I can now hear since there can be several layers. Some EVPs needed enhancement but were to noisy to get all of the extraneous noise out. There are some EVPs that were not subtitled due to the number of them, moving forward I will mainly concentrate on class A or B EVPs, and not try to decipher any class C ones. If any subtitles are wrong please note, and advise if any ??? are words that my ears cannot hear. It is always better to have another set of ears listen. The volume is normal mostly, then a few parts may be loud. And once again better to listen with headphones, and will try the same method but with a slightly different approach with spacing the video & audio clips in my so-called editing so when audio is opened in audacity those clips will be more apparent, and ect... ect...

Mackay Mansion Part 1 | Paranormal Investigation | Full Episode 4K | S01 E03
On this episode of The Haunted Side, Patrick investigates the Mackay Mansion, known as one of the most haunted buildings in the entire state of Nevada.
Built in 1860, the Italianate-style mansion was once the home of one of Virginia City’s “silver kings” who made his fortune on the Comstock Lode -- the first major discovery of silver ore in the US. Wander through the restored rooms of John Mackay’s old home -- now a museum -- and you may not find yourself alone. When Johnny Depp stayed at the mansion while filming Dead Man, a little girl dressed in all-white paid him a visit. Others have heard her playing in one of the upstairs rooms … and have also spotted a colonel sitting in the kitchen … and a woman making endless rushed trips up and down the stairs, crossing off items on her eternal “to-do” list.

VIPERS Paranormal Investigation at Mackay Mansion
VIPERS Paranormal Investigation of Mackay Mansion in Virginia City, NV. Music borrowed from Halloween soundtrack.
MacKay Mansion Paranormal Investigation
Our recent investigation from October, 2016 at the MacKay Mansion in Virginia City, NV.
Virginia City, Nevada
The opening shot flies over the steel headframe (built 1913) and shaft of the New York Mine in Gold Hill, Nevada. At 0:43 into the program we arrive in Virginia City, Nevada with a view overlooking the southern portion of the town. Looking northeast, we can see St. Mary in the Mountains Catholic church (built 1876). At 0:50 into the program, we are on approach to Virginia City, this time overflying the Mackay Mansion Museum (right foreground), built in 1859 by George Hearst to house the mining offices of the Gould & Curry mines. At 1:06 into the program, our flight takes us above C Street (Nevada State Route 341) to where the Virginia City Chamber of Commerce keeps their offices in what used to be the bullion car of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad. At 1:14 into the program, we continue our overflight along C Street, passing over the bullion car, and continuing on towards the Storey County District Courthouse, and Piper’s Opera House (background). At 1:36 into the program, our flight over Virginia City provides spectacular views of St. Mary in the Mountains. At 1:47 into the program, we enjoy a flight over the beautifully restored Savage Mansion. Still a mining office today, the Savage Mansion hosted then former president Ulysses S. Grant in 1879. At 1:59 into the program, the penultimate shot drifts towards B Street from the southeast, flying towards the Courthouse. At the center of the picture, we can see A Street midway between Taylor and Union streets, the point of origin of the Great Fire of Tuesday 26 October 1875 which, according to Dan DeQuille's History of the Big Bonanza”, burnt a swath through the city half a mile square.

Virginia City Nevada USA
Virginia City sprang up as a boomtown with the 1859 discovery of the Comstock Lode, the first major silver deposit discovery in the United States, and numerous mines were opened. At the city's peak of population in the mid-1870s, it had an estimated 25,000 residents. The mines' output declined after 1878, and the city declined. As of the 2010 Census the population of Virginia City was about 855,[3] with 4,000 living in Storey County.
Virginia City, Nevada
Recorded June 19, 1999.
Virginia City is one of the oldest established cities in Nevada. Like many cities and towns in the state, Virginia City was a mining boomtown; in fact it is one of the most famous boomtowns in the Old West as it virtually appeared overnight as a result of the Comstock Lode silver strike of 1859. During its peak, Virginia City had a population of nearly 30,000 residents. When the Comstock Lode ended in 1898, the city's population declined sharply.
The population of Virginia City is 1,000 people in the town. Virginia City was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1961. This in effect created a Virginia City Historic District. Today, Virginia City is but a shadow of its former glory, however, it still draws over 2 million visitors per year. It is one of the nation's larger National Historic Landmarks and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Keeping with tradition, Virginia City does not have any chain stores or fast food restaurants.
This video covers my short visit to the town in June 1999.

Reno Nevada's Real Haunted House
Shocking voices from beyond the grave. Many paranormal investigators used to think this house as the infamous Kelsay House. As my research discovers, it is not. However, this fact did not make this house any the less spectacular in paranormal activity--it will always be remembered as a ghost hunter's gold-mine. As many of you now know, it was torn down in November of 2012 and will always be remembered as Reno's number one haunted house. RIP spirits of 600 Geiger Grade. Where are you now? Well, The Mystery Gang soon will tell :)

Virginia City: Mark Twain, Haunted Hotels, and Suicide Tables!
History, Tourist Traps, Suicide Tables, Mining, Haunts!! All of it right here in Virginia City, Nevada. As a huge fan of Mark Twain and his book 'Roughing it' I've known a lot about Virginia City and the Comstock years, and always wanted to see the town for myself.
This was the place Samuel Clemens first worked as a professional writer under the name Mark Twain - and it was also the place where one of the richest mining booms in old west history took place. The comstock is legendary, and it left plenty of legendary attractions above it straddling the side of Mt Davidson in Virginia!
This video is the result of our first visit here together, but there should be many more, hopefully when I'm not completely sick! Thanks for watching!

Nevada Ghosts, Part 4: Silver Queen Knocking Ghost
This is one of several stories I wrote and voiced as a lead up to Halloween for radio station KKOH in Reno, Nevada in October 2002.
As Honorary Mayor of Virginia City I want to advise you that a trip to Reno, Lake Tahoe or Carson City is not complete without a visit to Virginia City and the Comstock.
You can learn more about ghosts of Virginia City and other Nevada spirits at Janice Oberding's website where you can also purchase her books Ghosthunters Guide to Virginia City and Haunted Nevada.
You might also be interested in checking out the website of my friend, Sandie LaNae, who is a local psychic and author: Two of Sandie's books, Spirit Sightings and Silver Ghosts have stories contributed by myself.
