Madame Sherri Castle Ruins - Mine Mountain (Mineshaft)
Best viewed in 1080P. This adventure brought us back to Chesterfield, NH to visit the castle ruins of Madame Sherri an eccentric resident of NH. The ruins are quite a sight to see and the history of this woman is very interesting. While we were there we followed the Anna Stokes Loop Trail to Mt. Wantastiquet Trail and off to the Mine Ledges for a great view. Most people don’t know that below those ledges there is a mine, so we explored that too. We were able to get some Geocaching done in the area also. This is a great hike with a lotof history. Due to the length of the video, we only showed some of our finds.
This video was made using the Canon HF G30 and edited using Adobe CS6.

Madame Sherri’s Castle
Explored March 31st 2018
Those passing through West Chesterfield, NH can venture into the ‘Madame Sherri Forest’ to find the ruins of what appears to be a castle. The extravagant stone arches and staircases reaching to floors that no longer exist are actually the remnants of a once grand house built by Madame Antoinette Sherri. A dancer and designer from New York City who bought 600 acres on Rattlesnake Mountain in 1930, Madame Sherri built the castle in 1931 and quickly became known for her elaborate parties and the whispers of a brothel being run out of the house. The castle burned down in 1962 after falling into disrepair but the remains attract people from all over the state. Reports of ghostly party goers are confirmed only by local legend. Legend has it that the lady herself has been spotted atop the grand staircase which some refer to as the “stairway to heaven” and that if you listen closely, you’ll hear the faint strains of laughter and music coming from the ruins. There are trails to walk and there are stone walls along the property and nearby river. Happy Exploring ????

Abandoned New Hampshire Wayside Detective Shows Up Narrated
Taking care of my antique shipments and decided to show you guys this pretty nice abandoned wayside in New Hampshire. I remember when this place was up and running about 5 years ago .
It doesn't seem like it needs much work so I'm not sure why it's slowly turning into a state of disrepair. Your guess is as good as mine . The day was beautiful but windy so there might be some wind noise .
Follow me as I travel North America hunting down beautiful, abandoned and historic places.

We took the Mahindra XTV 750S out in the woods metal detecting
A fun day exploring old roads on the Mahindra & going metal detecting cellar holes.
We packed up all of our digging gear into the Mahindra XTV 750S and headed for the old abandoned roads here in New Hampshire. A huge area where nobody has lived since the 1800s and that was settled in the 1700s. We drove along following all the old stone walls and found cellar hole after cellar hole. Swinging our Garrett ATGOLD & ATPRO metal detectors we dug up some old relics as we stopped at the old fam sites and a couple of coins to boot. The old roads have not been traveled much at all in 150 years and as you can imagine they are pretty washed out and rugged. Essentially we are exploring an abandoned town that stretches for miles and the adventure is awesome.

Heading out into the New Hampshire woods with the guys we hiked out to a 1700s homesite to do some digging. This cellar hole is way out in the forest and at one point n time it must have been a beautiful farm. Everyone found something good on this day and some cool relics where dug from the ground. Kerbinator found an oxen knob, way's found a American revolution era saddle badge, Dame found a shoe buckle and DC found a musket ball. Not a huge amount of finds but its always a great fun time with friends metal detecting.
Filmed with Canon EOS 80d Camera video footage
