Lets Playground - Maddingley Park Adventure Playground Bacchus Marsh
Grace and Max review the Maddingley Park Adventure Playground in Bacchus March, Victoria, Australia. This playground is unusual as is largely a wooden fortress like structure with lots of interesting areas for kids to explore. There are swings, slides, a cave, musical instruments, balance beams and towers to explore and play in. Max gave this playground four and a half stars out of five.

Trains and buses at Bacchus Marsh - Victorian Transport
In this video we take a visit to Bacchus Marsh station on V/Line's Ballarat line. Bacchus Marsh is a very busy station on the line; boasting a large stabling yard which allows trains to originate and terminate here during peak hours.
Filmed during the afternoon peak hour, we see a couple of N Class locomotive hauled trains terminating here and shunting into the yards, and a couple of Vlocity DMU's heading to and from Ballarat. We also see locomotive A66, which was the last A Class locomotive in service and perhaps the last bulldog nosed EMD locomotive worldwide still hauling revenue passenger services. This video was recorded during its final weeks in revenue service. A66 has since been withdrawn and sent to Bendigo for storage; it's future now uncertain.
Inbetween shots we head outside and see a couple of buses. Bacchus Marsh has three bus routes operated by Bacchus Marsh Coaches; the 433, 434 & 435. The company's depot is located just outside the station so we also see a couple of coaches and school buses passing through.
With it's large variety of different trains and the stabling yard, Bacchus Marsh station is a great location for some morning or afternoon trainspotting. However this scene is about to change. As part of the Ballarat line upgrade, Bacchus Marsh station will undergo an upgrade; receiving a second platform and new car parking spaces to be built on the site of the stabling yards. The yards are being relocated just outside the station at Maddingley.
Date: 20th August 2018.
