Today I got chance to visit again the Veal Preah Man Park in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. There is a large hall, exhibiting the process of making traditional Cambodian hand-woven scarf 'Krama'. I surprised to know that, they made a world record by made this the largest scarf. I saw there not only many foreign tourists, but also many young local visitors. There I managed to find an English speaking volunteer. She described and showed me the weaving process of this traditional hand-woven Cambodian scarf 'Krama'. Open air live Cambodian song was the bonus attraction. Watch and Enjoy!!

Street 172

This is Phnom Penh's cheap charlie area. It is home to many inexpensive bars, restaurants, guesthouses and also has a few hostess bars thrown in for good measure.

It is a good place to find $0.50 draught beers and many expat teachers congregate here in groups for the inexpensive offerings. The food is generally good here and many restaurants do take away service for the local expats.

$1 moto taxi rides.

I went everywhere via tuk tuk or moto taxi and never paid more than $1 for a trip. Sometimes the tuk tuks on the riverfront will insist on $2 for a short journey.

Phnom Penh is not a place to wander around alone late at night, even around the tourist areas. Cambodia is a much poorer country than Thailand, and reports of incidents against tourists/expats often are suppressed in the news.

Street 136

The Corner 136 bar is my favourite in all of Phnom Penh. The drink prices are creeping up and it's now $2 for a draught beer. My hostess lady was very friendly on this night, I told her right away I wasn't going to barfine her but she was ok with that and stayed for a couple of drinks.

Some ladies in the Phnom Penh hostess bars are only there for lady drinks, particularly the prettier ladies under 25 years old. It's best to know the score before you start buying them loads of drinks. Other times some girls will only go with Asian customers (eg. Korean, Japanese).

I heard a story about a Phnom Penh hostess bar where a Western guy bought a nice hostess 5 lady drinks, but in the end she wouldn't go to his hotel as she was only a drinks girl. He was really pissed off and was telling everyone about it...

Street 51

Sorya beer garden was being renovated at the time I visited so I can't comment on that.

Pontoon was bad on this and every night I visited Phnom Penh for this trip. It might just have been bad luck for me as nightclubs can be fickle from night to night...

Join us on a stroll through the wet market section of Phnom Penh's Central Market. Our video includes images of raw butchered meats and live seafood - so I'm asking you to just NOT WATCH if that's a problem for you... Please. This is a portrait of daily life in another culture and one thing the world needs less of is hating on lives that don't match your own. The market relies on freshness and YES sanitary food handling could use a lil help. But - these people have a much more honest relationship with their food than most Westerners, who turn a blind eye to the processing of animals into neatly packaged meat. I'm not getting preachy here. I'm not trying to change YOUR mind. Just managing expectations and avoiding a flame war in the comments section.

Central Market in Phnom Penh is wonderful and full of life. When you walk the streets of PP, the scars left by the Khmer Rouge are still evident. This market is a bright cornerstone and point of pride for locals. Should your travels take you to Cambodia, make sure to visit the Central Market.

DELICIOUS CAMBODIAN DESSERTS! | Orussey Market, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The Orussey Market is a sprawling, buzzing market with stalls selling items of all sorts from food to housewares, clothing & electronics. Not like any market I have been to before, this particular one is overwhelmingly cluttered with merchandise and merchants of all kinds.

I came across these interesting looking treats that really intrigued me, so I just had to give it a go! Small little sponge-like cakes placed in little bowls, steamed up and topped with coconut milk. The spongy cake itself had a slight sourness to it, and the coconut topping was irresistibly sweet and creamy.

Next up, I went with some soup-like looking desserts. First one I had is a popular Asian dessert with 10 different items in it. All the fresh ingredients mixed in with the sweet sugary soup was just delicious. I also had to try their egg drop soup looking dessert. This one was not as sweet as it had a lot of egg flavor. Both very good tasty desserts with their own unique taste.

After having a sugar rush, I went for a stroll outside and saw some bananas grilling, and could not resist but to get TWO! First up was a banana wrapped in sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf. This sticky but tasty treat had an amazing fragrant coming from the leaf itself. The banana in the center is nice and soft with a natural sweetness. The second was just the banana alone grilled on a skewer. This one had a hard outer and a soft inner. Also fluffy and sweet on the inside, this particular one does not have much of a fragrant. My preference would have to be the one wrapped with the banana leaf.

If you are in Phnom Penh, be sure to make a day to come visit the Orussey Market. Whether it's shopping, eating or simply browsing, this market will be sure to keep you occupied.

Located in the center of Phnom Penh, there are many ways to get here. Taxi, tuk tuk, motorbike or Grab App are always good options.

AUTHENTIC CAMBODIAN FOOD AT KIEN SVAY MARKET | Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Kien Svay Market is only about 15 kilometers out of Phnom Penh, but the vibe here is completely different. Away from the madness of the city, Kien Svay gave me a sense of peace and relaxation.

A popular weekend getaway for Phnom Penh residents, this market is filled with delicious street food at your disposal. After ordering your selected items, you can enjoy it at a bamboo huts (cabanas) located on the beautiful lake-side setting, which is separate to the actual market. The huts cost 10,000 Riel to rent or free if you order food from them (Which we did as well).

I quickly picked up items from the market and rushed over to our hut to enjoy. Sitting on a straw mat on top of a lake with an incredible view made me so hungry for authentic Khmer cuisine!

I ordered up a storm from the market because I could not control myself from all the delicious choices. The first item I tackled is one of my favorite dishes of all time. It is called Prahok, which is a crushed, salted and fermented fish paste (usually of mudfish) that is used in Cambodian cuisine as a seasoning or a condiment. This very authentic Khmer dish is not for everyone as it has a very strong distinct smell, which some refer to as Cambodian Cheese. Typically eaten as a main dish with steamed rice and dipped with raw vegetables. This particular Prahok was deliciously authentic with a very salty fish flavor.

Next up, I went with the Grilled Frog Stuffed in Lemon Grass. This frog was amazing, with a great charcoal aroma. As it was jammed packed with lemon grass and other spices, the frog flavor was actually not too strong.

The freshly caught Grilled Snake Head Fish was also a winner. The juicy and tender meat was incredibly sweet. The texture was also nice and firm with a slight stringy feel.

All these dishes went perfectly well with the white rice and pickled vegetables. The Lotus Root and Bean Sprouts had an amazing sour crunch and the pickled Tamarind had a paste-like texture to it and also extremely sour.

The stir fried Morning Glory with Chicken was very tasteful seasoned with fish sauce. The morning glory itself had a beautiful crisp to it as it was cooked perfectly. The chicken seemed to be deep-fried before it was pan-fried, which gave it a tough chewy texture.

The Grilled Duck was incredibly tender and had such an interesting crunch to it. Flavored with garlic and fish sauce, this duck was completely full of smoky flavor.

Finally, the Sour Chicken Soup was what washed everything down. Chicken cooked in clear broth, garnished with plenty of mint leaves and drenched in lemon/lime juice. The chicken was tender and juicy with pieces of fatty skin. This tangy hot soup really opens up your taste buds and hits the spot.

If you are in Phnom Penh, try to make a day out to see the Kien Svay Market. The weekends could get a little packed, but if you come on a weekday, you will be sure to enjoy the market in peace.

There is no public transport in the area, so the only way to get here is by car, motorbike or tuk tuk.

� decided to build the Cambodian Angkor car because I just wanted to do it. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a motor mechanic. I always liked to repair things, to pull them apart and put them back together. So I had the idea to build the car because I wanted to learn about cars, I wanted to know, I wanted to at least give it a try.

My handmade design is high quality but we cannot market it in the normal way because we make each one by hand. I know my country may not be as technologically advanced as other countries but I think that this car is very special because it's hand-made. I'm proud to show it off to the world and lots of international TV crews have come here already - NHK, CNN, German TV and many others - and they all want to know how I built the Angkor Car.

It's easier to drive a small car in Cambodia because the traffic is very heavy. In Cambodia we have big, big cars but my car is small so it's very easy drive in heavy traffic.

Cambodia's packed streets are choked with pollution and traffic jams but one man is setting out to change all that.
In a country of big car lovers a self-taught mechanic is bucking the tend by building his own tiny, fuel-efficient car which he hopes will reduce congestion and clean-up the environment.
STORYLINE:
Rising incomes and a rapidly growing population have seen a dramatic rise in the number of vehicles clogging the streets of the capital Phnom Penh.
In a city obsessed with big cars, this tiny car stands out from the crowd.
It is the Angkor 333 designed and built by hand in Cambodia by self-taught mechanic Nhean Phaloek.
52-year-old Phaloek began working on the first of three versions of his Cambodian car in 2000.
In July 2010 he teamed up with Vietnam's Heng Development Company to commercially manufacture the Angkor at a new USD $20 million factory being built in Kandal Province outside Phnom Penh.

Going past restuarants, street food vendors, Cambodian girls, noodle shops and hotels.. Finally arrive on street 136 hostess street. Walk down a see many restaurants and hotels first..like the Sun Moon Urban hotel and Queen Wood hotel..Walk past many 24 hour convenience stores as well. Walk past many hostess bars like The Drink Bar, Route 136 Bar, Corner 136 Bar, Best 136 Bar. Crazy Dog Bar, Wild Orchit Bar, Candy Bar, Madam Bar, Spider Bar, Secrets Bar/Club Cambodia to name a handful. There are 26 hostess bars on street 136. I walk past many Cambodian hostess ladies (BAR GIRLS) as well. Near the end of street 136 I go past another good hotel called The Lux hotel/apartment. I go all the way to Riverside.
