This lovely place is located in the Phasuea National Park, some 20 kilometers from Mae Hong Son Town. The blue fish swimming in the small river that comes from the underground cave are named Plapung, a kind of carp that can reach one meter in length.

Mae Hong Son Loop - Day 4 Pai to Chiang Mai 150 km
Vlog # 237. We complete the Mae Hong Son Loop today on our 4th day drive. We head out from Pai back to Chiang mai which takes about 3-4 hours by Motorbike and a 150 km drive.
Before we head back to Chiang Mai, we spent the whole entire day in Pai going on a Private tour. We visit a beautiful white temple, check out some organic shops with amazing fresh yummy smoothies and juices.
Later we check out a waterfall and a natural hot spring. We also visit the Pai canyon and an epic view point. Pai is an absolutely beautiful town, we wish we had more time to spend in Pai but we atleast got to do a few of the top things to do in Pai.

Visit to a 'Long-Neck Village' in northern Thailand.
Near Chiang Mai, in northern Thailand, is a small village which is home to a group of people who call themselves Kayan Lahwi (though tour guides call them the Padaung.) They moved here after fleeing persecution in neighboring Myanmar/Burma. Denied formal refugee status and therefore the right to work in Thailand, they are allowed to remain here as a tourist attraction. Visits to the village are part of the standard tour packages offered to visitors to Chiang Mai, and many tourists choose to pay a visit to the 'Long Neck village,' and to have their photographs taken with the the exotic 'giraffe women' who live here. Tour guides don't mention the male members of the community, who weren't in evidence when I visited but presumably must be around here somewhere. Is this really cultural education or is it a human zoo?
