Elephant Nature Park -- the famous elephant sanctuary. I had a half day visit to a project site in Mae Wang district. The place was about 1 hour drive west of the Old City of Chiang Mai, Thailand. My visit and recordings were on 22 April 2017. The tour guide was: Mr. Sunshine of the Karen local people of Thailand.
The Elephants were: Dodo (young male, with tusks), and Chumpoo (young female), and Dodo's mother ( older female @5:09 ) but I forgot the mother's name.

These two elephants are Dodo (male, with tusks), and Chumpoo (female). They both are around 13 years old. But Dodo's mother (not in this video) is 65 years old. Our group tour guide was a very friendly intelligent man named Sunshine from the Karen Tribal people of Thailand, and he speaks three languages. I highly recommend that you take at least a half-day trip to E N P!

Pha Chor Canyon ~ Mae Wang National Park
Pha Chor Canyon was created after Ping River changed its course many years ago. First the shift created a hill and after time passed the hill eroded and changed into cliffs and soil pillars. Today those pillars are 30 meters high and are one of the main attractions of the Mae Wang National Park.
