Walking the Swiss Grindelwald Circuit
In August, 1985 Carol and Alan planned and walked tough trail through the mountains of the Bernese Oberland from Interlaken to Brig over 2 weeks. Fantastic scenery all the way, views of the Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau, Monte Rosa, Weisshorn, Matterhorn, Aletschgletscher.....

Panorama Trail from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg.
The fabulous high-Alpine trail takes you on an easy hike from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg (1.5 hours). Walking over alpine pastures, always facing the majestic Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau mountain chain, you can let your gaze sweep over towering rock walls and icy-blue glaciers.
Views extend over alpine pastures down to the Grindelwald Valley and up to Grosse Scheidegg and the jagged peaks of the Wetterhorn and Schreckhorn. Starting at Männlichen (2222 m), the trail leads south along the eastern flank of the Tschuggen. Walking at the same level you reach Honegg and follow the loop skirting the lower slopes of the Lauberhorn ridge to Rotstöckli, from where it's only a short distance to Kleine Scheidegg (2061 m).
Panoramaweg vom Männlichen zur Kleinen Scheidegg
Ein fantastischer Höhenweg führt Sie in einer bequemen Wanderung vom Männlichen zur Kleinen Scheidegg (1,5 Stunden). Auf dem Panoramaweg schreiten Sie im Angesicht der majestätischen Kette Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau über die Alpweiden und können Ihre Gedanken unbeschwert zu steil aufragenden Felswänden und eisblauen Gletschern schweifen lassen.
Der Blick gleitet den Weiden entlang ins Tal von Grindelwald und hinüber zur Grossen Scheidegg, den Spitzen und Zacken des Wetter- und des Schreckhorns. Der Weg führt vom Männlichen auf 2222 Metern über Meer in südlicher Richtung der Ostflanke des Tschuggen entlang. Immer auf gleicher Höhe geht es zur Honegg und weiter in einer Schlaufe um einen Ausläufer des Lauberhorns herum zum Rotstöckli. Von dort ist es nicht mehr weit bis zur Kleinen Scheidegg auf 2061 Metern über Meer.

Männlichen Switzerland - Mannlichen Cable Car and Summer Sledding
Männlichen Switzerland is one of the most beautiful places we visited in the Swiss Alps and is FULL of adventure. From riding ON TOP of the Mannlichen cable car to summer sledding down the mountain on a Summer Gemel from männlichen down to Grindelwald and taking in some spectacular views along the way, it was a day to remember!
An adventure lovers paradise and a very unique activity in summer, I highly recommend summer sledding or just hiking from Mannlichen down to Grindelwald!

Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg Hiking Swiss Alps Switzerland
Great day hike. I started off of in Wengen by taking the train from Lauterbrunnen. I hiked all the way up to Mannlichen instead of taking the cable car. Afterwards, I walked all the way to Kleine Scheidegg and spent the remainder of the afternoon exploring the hiking trails in the area. music credit to Setu-Firestorm
