Asia Trip Day7 Feb12 2019 Nha Trang Vietnam /Celebrity Millennium

Today was Day 7 of our South Asia Trip and Day 4 of our cruise on board the refitted Celebrity Millennium. We have now arrived at Nha Trang, Vietnam, which is a tender port. and the sea was quite rough. However, we made it ashore safely, and quickly located our tour guide, Danny, from Phamtours, who gave us a fabulous day again. It was a full on day stopping first at a Rush Mat Making demonstration, then the Paddy fields, The huge Buddha statue, Conical Hat making demonstration, Rice Paper and Noodle demonstration, excellent lunch in a beautiful setting, 25 min boat trip, Pagoda Orphanage, local market, Vietnamese coffee break, Embroidery demonstration, before finally returning to the ship.

Today we decided to go to the Vinpearl Amusement Park in Nha Trang! Tickets were 650,000d each ($40NZD) & included the cable car plus entry into all areas of the park (rides, aquarium & water park). We hailed a taxi from the main strip by the beach and on the way he stopped and a little old Vietnamese lady sold us our tickets. They must buy them in bulk to make some sort of margin because it was the same price as buying the tickets at the entrance.

The best ride was definitely the Alpine Coaster! Make sure you wait out the line and do this one - it really is the highlight! We went on a Monday and had to wait for about an hour, but for the rest of the day we didn't wait in any lines at all!

An expensive day out for Vietnam standards (came to about $110NZD total once we included taxis, lunch, water and an ice cream treat) but we recommend as something to fun to do in Nha Trang, the water park was especially fun considering it's so hot!

Nha Trang Boat Tour - Day 5

We take a group tour and explore monkey island and orchid island. These islands are located off the coast of Nha Trang.

Animal note-- We don't know under which conditions the animals were kept, but we hope they were treated well(wishful thinking?). From what we saw, they seemed to be well fed and well cared for... but you never know.
