Hanga Roa - Vista Panorámica

Vista de lo alto de la Isla de Pascua en la parte más habitada. Es la única ciudad en este más aislado y pequeño território del mundo. Orongo y Rano Kau - La Leyenda del Hombre Pájaro - Mahinatur - Rapa Nui

La aldea ceremonial Orongo está situada en la cima del volcán Rano Kau. Juntos, son sin duda uno de los sitios preferidos por los visitantes del Parque Nacional Rapa Nui.

Su ubicación privilegiada no es una coincidencia, ya que desde este sector es posible tener una vista de los tres islotes motu Nui, motu Iti y motu Kao Kao, así como del cráter más grande de la isla y del pueblo Hanga roa.

Su relevancia en la historia de la cultura Rapa Nui es altísima, ya que sus refugios de piedra laja albergaron a altos miembros de la sociedad, mientras se desarrollaban prácticas religiosas y políticas. Esta aldea fue el sitio de culto al dios creador Make-Make y también el lugar de desarrollo de la competencia del Hombre-pájaro, o Tangata Manu.
