One of the most accessible beautiful fall in Sabah, the drive up to Mahua takes an approximate 1½ hr drive from Kota Kinabalu. Visitors will will pass through scenic uphill drive through small villages and forests on the Crocker Range.

Nearly 17 Meters tall and open to public since June 2003, Mahua Waterfall (local name: Air Terjun Mahua), which is 26 KM away from Tambunan town, is gaining popularity as one of the top destinations of Sabah interior.
I visited Mahua days ago and strongly recommend this beautiful waterfall to those who drop by Tambunan.
Why Visit Tambunan in 2020? Is the Mahua Waterfall of Tambunan still majestic?
Two days before the end of 2019, we visited Mahua Waterfall, Tambunan. We arrived at the facilities 8 a.m in the morning and no visitors was there. We got the place all to ourself. You can watch the video for the majestic scenery of the waterfall. Since it was in the morning, the water was very cold. Later we went to visit Tandarason Resort & Country Club and surprisingly a wedding reception was held there. The wedding reception of Hosiani Keewon & Terry. Congratulations to newly wed couple. the day i went to mahua waterfall with my fams. the view at the waterfall was mesmerising, hence it made the short hike that i dislike worth it haha. tbh, i never knew i’d enjoy outdoor activities this much. just gotta keep telling myself that it’s nice to go out and explore the nature!
