Driving in the snow in Appleton, Wi
Driving in the snow in Appleton, Wi
9808 41st Street NE, St. Michael, MN 55376
This beautiful home has been meticulously maintained and updated by the original owner and sits on a flat lot with mature trees in a great neighborhood. The main floor is completely open with high ceilings and tall windows allowing an abundance of natural light in. The kitchen has brand new granite countertops, flooring, freshly enameled cabinetry, updated hardware and newer appliances. The dining room walks out to a charming deck and gazebo, convenient for grilling and entertaining. The spacious, lower level family room walks out a concrete patio and flat backyard. There is an additional 800 unfinished square feet, available to grow into. The lower level has a roughed-in bedroom, mudroom and bathroom. The basement has an unfinished room that would be great as an amusement space. Additional updates include fresh paint, furnace and A/C tune ups, refurbished water softener, newer carpet, updated bathroom finishes, newer sump pump, garage doors and maintenance-free siding.

Dearborn, Michigan
In the last 12 months the city of Dearborn, MI has been thrown into conflict. A conflict about fear, ideology and identity politics –which has at its heart the central question of what it means to be an American today. Home to the largest mosque in North America, it is a place of apparent contradictions: simultaneously a sleepy affluent suburb and the subject of rumours around ISIS terror cells and sharia law.
This film takes us into the lives of five very different citizens who have been caught in the crossfire, from Muslims to Christians, citizen militias and young university graduates. For all, their American identity is paramount. As they grapple with questions of religion, race and class, do these separate communities have more in common than they realise?

Blackstone Manor Clock Repair & Grandfather Clocks
Blackstone Manor Clock Repair is consistently rated the best clock repair shop in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Located in downtown Hopkins, Minnesota, we can be conveniently reached from anywhere in the metropolitan area.
Mark Purdy: Welcome to Blackstone Manor Clock Repair at Main Street in Hopkins or blackstonemanorclockrepair.com. We are a pretty unique clock repair shop. People entrust their valuable family heirloom to us for repair for servicing properly, and we feel that your clock needs to be taken care of the way you deserve and your clock deserves. We have an extended warranty period and when your clock is happy, you're happy. Jonathan Jeff Simmons: The majority of the clocks have been in the family for many, many years. We can certainly give some hope that the clock can be fixed. We can resurrect it. We can restore it into a fully functioning clock again. So it's wonderful to be able to hand back a clock that is now working. And that's very rewarding. Mark Purdy: I'm a certified clock maker for the 21st Century. That's a certification that's given out by the American Watch and Clock Makers Institute, and currently there are about ten of us in the United States. We do get clocks shipped to us from around the country, but we also have a great location with easy parking right out front. If you have a clock that's only right twice a day, bring it in, we can help you.

Remembering Porky's Drive-In, University Ave., St. Paul, MN, July 2002
I shot this footage back in July 2002, as part of a video biography of the Twin Cities, MN. Now that the new Light-Rail line is almost complete along University Avenue, and Porky's is long gone, I present this video in memory of Porky's Drive-In. I so miss their Twin Burgers and Onion Rings.

Ellen Hopkins Elementory School
Baltimore: Johns Hopkins University
Johns Hopkins University is a private research university in Baltimore, Maryland.
Founded in 1876, the university was named for its first benefactor, the American entrepreneur, abolitionist, and philanthropist Johns Hopkins. His $7 million bequest (approximately $144.5 million in today's dollars)—of which half financed the establishment of Johns Hopkins Hospital—was the largest philanthropic gift in the history of the United States up to that time. Daniel Coit Gilman, who was inaugurated as the institution's first president on February 22, 1876, led the university to revolutionize higher education in the U.S. by integrating teaching and research. Adopting the concept of a graduate school from Germany's ancient Heidelberg University, Johns Hopkins University is considered the first research university in the United States. Over the course of several decades, the university has led all U.S. universities in annual research and development expenditures. In fiscal year 2016, Johns Hopkins spent nearly $2.5 billion on research.
Johns Hopkins is organized into 10 divisions on campuses in Maryland and Washington, D.C. with international centers in Italy, China, and Singapore. The two undergraduate divisions, the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering, are located on the Homewood campus in Baltimore's Charles Village neighborhood. The medical school, the nursing school, and the Bloomberg School of Public Health are located on the Medical Institutions campus in East Baltimore. The university also consists of the Peabody Institute, the Applied Physics Laboratory, the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, the School of Education, the Carey Business School, and various other facilities.
Johns Hopkins was a founding member of the American Association of Universities. Over the course of more than 140 years, 37 Nobel laureates and 1 Fields Medalist have been affiliated with Johns Hopkins. Founded in 1883, the Blue Jays men's lacrosse team has captured 44 national titles and plays in the Big Ten Conference as an affiliate member as of 2014.
The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) is the teaching hospital and biomedical research facility of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, located in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S. With around 30,000 staff it is the largest hospital in the world by number of staff.
Johns Hopkins Hospital and its school of medicine are considered to be the founding institutions of modern American medicine and the birthplace of numerous famous medical traditions including rounds, residents and house staff. Many medical specialties were formed at the hospital including neurosurgery, by Dr. Harvey Cushing; cardiac surgery by Dr. Alfred Blalock; and child psychiatry, by Dr. Leo Kanner.
Johns Hopkins Hospital is widely regarded as one of the world's greatest hospitals and medical institutions. It was ranked by U.S. News & World Report news magazine as the best overall hospital in America for 21 consecutive years (1991–2011). In 2017-2018, the hospital ranked in 15 adult and 10 children's specialties, coming in 1st in Maryland and 3rd nationally behind the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
The Metro Green Line (formerly called the Central Corridor) is an 11-mile (18 km) light rail line that connects the central business districts of Minneapolis and Saint Paul in Minnesota as well as the University of Minnesota. An extension is being planned that would extend the line to the southwest connecting St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka and Eden Prairie. The line follows the path of former Metro Transit bus route 16 along University Avenue and Washington Avenue (which runs from downtown Minneapolis through the University of Minnesota main campus). It is the second light-rail line in the region, after the Blue Line, which opened in 2004 and connects Minneapolis with the southern suburb of Bloomington.
Construction on the Green Line began in late 2010. It opened to the public on June 14, 2014. The travel time between the downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul stops is about 46 minutes. This entire line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is one of only seven mass-transit rail lines in the United States to do so (the others being the PATCO Speedline, the Red and Blue Lines of the Chicago 'L', the PATH lines, the Staten Island Railway, and the New York City Subway). In 2018, the line carried a total of 13.8 million passengers.
