Over the years the role of wine producers and négociants in Burgundy have become increasingly linked as Pierre-Henry Gagey, president of Maison Louis Jadot, explains.
Maison Louis Jadot was founded by Louis Henry Denis Jadot in 1859 and is a family wine company that produces and markets Burgundy wine. It operates both its own vineyards and also buys grapes from many growers. It controls 270 hectares (670 acres) of vineyards in Burgundy (including Beaujolais Crus) and produces only AOC wines.
Maison Louis Jadot was founded by Louis Henry Denis Jadot in 1859 and is a family wine company that produces and markets Burgundy wine. It operates both its own vineyards and also buys grapes from many growers. It controls 270 hectares (670 acres) of vineyards in Burgundy (including Beaujolais Crus) and produces only AOC wines.
In 1985 the company was sold to the family of Rudy Kopf, who also own Kobrand, Jadot's US importer.

What I Drank Yesterday- Trip to Louis Jadot Cellars in Burgundy
This is the first reviews to come out of my recent trip to Champagne and Burgundy. I tried to visit some old friends and to check out a few new producers to see if we could make some new friends. One of the companies that I have done a lot of business with over the years here at Wine Watch is Louis Jadot. I have had the opportunity to visit Burgundy on several occasions in the past but this is was my first visit to their state of the art facility in Beaune.
We had a chance to taste some wines from barrel in the cellar and they were all 2014 whites. The 2014 harvest was another very small harvest but outstanding in quality.
