Adventurati Expedition - Wonders of Oman!
Covering more than 2000 km and more than 25 hours of driving over the past 3 days, I must say this trip was an adventure of a life time. Mountain offroading all the way to the top of Salmah plateau to watch the sun set and camp for the night only to make our way the next morning and explore Majlis Al Jin one of the biggest caves in the world and to top that up we head straight to Wadi Shab one of the most spectacular places I have ever been too. Hiking in the canyons jumping through the Wadi and diving underwater into a cave only to reach a hidden paradise is unforgettable. Jumping Wadis can only be topped by watching giant green turtles nest on the shores of Ras Al Jinz Beach Reserve and help baby turtles reach the sea safely. To our surprise and to top of our experience like we cant imagine we camped in Ras AlHadd under the rain with a night full of majestic sounds of nature and rain drops on our tents. Finally we got the chance to visit Wadi Bani Khaled to relax in the crystal clear pools along side the Batman cave. Truly this trip makes you appreciate nature and its wonderful scenery and brings you closer with friends you just met to enjoy a awesome time together full of adventurous and exciting memories.

Oman Caves - Ministry of Oman Tourism
There are varieties of Oman caves varying in types, lengths, sizes and geographical formations which attract lots of visitors from around the world.
Dhofar Governorate contains a large number of caves, some of which have springs near them. In former times, residents of the mountainous areas used the caves as places of abode and safe havens from the vagaries of weather and nature.
Travel Oman: Al Hoota Cave
The Al Hoota Cave is estimated to be over 2 million years old and is located at the foot of Jabal Shams, Oman’s epic mountain.
It is the first and only show cave in the Arabian Peninsula with a total length of around 4.5 kilometres, of which just 500 metres is accessible to the general public.

S01E03 - Visiting Misfat Al Abriyeen & Our first workday at boat
Today we've been invited by Mr. Naif Al Abri, the owner of the Misfat Old House, which is located in a beautiful village named Misfat Al Abriyeen (مسفاة العبريين). It is a unique mountainous village located 1,000 m above sea level on the mountain foothills surrounding wilayat Al Hamra in Al Dhakhiyla Governorate. The village derives its name from the Al Abri tribe, who originally come from Misfat Al Abriyeen and Al Hamra.
And, in the second part, you'll see how we are preparing our boat for the Journey. It was our first workday at the boat. We enjoyed a lot to work together for our dream and we believe that everyone can chase their dream, if there is lot of love and dedication!
Enjoy!
Special thanks to Mr. Naif Al Abri

The Cave of the Jinn. كهف مجلس الجن وهظبة سلماه
The Cave of the Jinn is the ninth largest cave in the world [1]. It is located in the Governorate of Muscat, Qaryat, Sultanate of Oman, within the area of Fence (Haza Selma), which is about 18 km away from the public road. With a floor area of 58 thousand square meters and capacity of 4 million cubic meters, the length of the cave Faisal to 310 meters and 225 meters wide and the distance from the ground to the ceiling in the form of dome 120 meters. Although the size of the Cave (Jinn) is very large, it is difficult to discover from the outside in this vast area, and all that indicates its presence from the outside is only five openings that seem insignificant to look at on one side. The Cave of the Jinn is located at the northern border of the Salma Plateau near the village of Fens in the state of Qaryat in the Governorate of Muscat, which is located on the road linking it and the village of Tawi in the province of Tire in South Sharqia Governorate. The Cave of the Jinn was first discovered by chance while searching for carbon rocks to discover deep aquifers. The first to land in the huge cavern was an expert, Don Davison, in 1983 through the 120-meter hole, which is the shortest opening of the three holes. Then came his wife (Cheryl Jones) in the year after 1984 to descend from the deepest hole and a depth of 158 meters. Then Don Jones came down from the third hole in 1985.

Oman Travel Guide - Astonishing Moments of Happiness
Oman Travel Guide - Astonishing Moments of Happiness
The Sultanate of Oman is in the Middle East, on the southeastern end of the Arabian Peninsula. It borders the United Arab Emirates in the northwest, Saudi Arabia in the west, and Yemen in the southwest. Oman has two exclaves separated from it by the United Arab Emirates, the Musandam Peninsula and Madha.
Until Sultan Qaboos bin Said exiled the previous Sultan in 1970, Oman was an under-developed nation, and almost completely closed to visitors. Since that time, education, public works and tourism have taken off throughout the country.
Omanis are friendly people and are very helpful to tourists. In turn, tourists should respect the ways and traditions of the Omani people. Omanis are proud of both their country's rapid progress and their heritage as one of the great sea-faring nations. Excellent schools and hospitals, good governance, and on-going infrastructure improvement are all important characteristics of this once introverted and closed nation.
Oman has one of the hottest and driest climates in the world. However, there are substantial differences between the coastal zone, the mountain regions, the arid inland desert and the southwestern region of Dhofar.
Regions & Cities of Oman :
Northern Oman (Muscat, Bahla, Buraimi, Hajar Mountains, Madha, Matrah, Musandam Peninsula, Sohar) the capital city, fertile Al-Batinah coast, majestic Hajar Mountains and the Musandam Peninsula
Central Coastal Oman (Ibra, Masirah Island, Sur, Wahiba Sands)
awe-inspiring dunes, old forts and coastal scenery fringing the Indian Ocean
Zufar (Dhofar) (Salalah)
lush coastal lowlands and mountains bordering Yemen
Empty Quarter
huge desert wilderness including much of the largely undefined border area with Saudi Arabia.
Muscat - the historic capital and largest city
Bahla - oasis town which is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Buraimi - border crossing town adjacent to Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates
Ibra - gateway to the Wahiba Sands
Matrah - adjoining the capital city and just as historic
Nizwa - contains one of the best-known forts in Oman
Salalah - the south, which is almost tropical at the time of the Kareef (southeastern monsoon)
Sohar - one of the the legendary homes of Sindbad
Sur - where dhows are still made by hand
Hajar Mountains - a majestic range, the highest in the Arabian Peninsula, which stretches into the United Arab Emirates.
Madha - tiny exclave of Oman completely surrounded by the United Arab Emirates
Masirah Island - a real desert island experience awaits on this haven for turtles and other wildlife
Musandam Peninsula - a rocky exclave on the Straits of Hormuz with some magnificent wadis
Wahiba Sands - massive rolling dunes as far as the eye can see
The food is mainly Arabic, East African, Lebanese, Turkish, and Indian. Many Omanis make a distinction between Arabic food and Omani food, with the former being the description of the standard dishes found throughout the Arabian Peninsula.
Oman has the full spectrum of accommodation - from ultra-luxurious hotels to extremely rustic huts in the desert constructed from date palm leaves. In recent years, Oman has been attempting to turn itself into something of a five-star destination for well-heeled travellers. This does not pose a problem to the budget-minded in Muscat, and even outside of the capital there is still a range of budget options. In some parts of the country, however, accommodation may be limited to higher-end hotels and resorts.

Trip to Musandam Oman Cruise!
The Musandam Governorate (Arabic: مُـحَـافَـظَـة مُـسَـنْـدَم, romanized: Muḥāfaẓat Musandam) is a governorate of Oman. With the exception of the exclave of Madha, it is located on the Musandam Peninsula, which juts into the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow entry into the Persian Gulf, from the Arabian Peninsula. The Governorate is also an exclave, separated from the rest of Oman by the United Arab Emirates. Its location gives Oman partial control, shared with Iran, of the strategic strait. In the northern section of Musandam, around Kumzar, the language is Kumzari, which is a southwestern Iranian language closely related to Larestani and Luri. The Musandam Peninsula has an area of 1,800 square kilometers (690 sq mi) and a population of 31,425 people.
Access to the peninsula was formerly difficult, with the only options being limited flights or a ten-hour drive through four immigration posts. The Shinas fast ferry service between Muscat and Musandam was launched in August 2008 to alleviate this problem and make the region more accessible. The governorate is accessible by land only from the United Arab Emirates. Mainland Musandam can be accessed by Ras al-Khaimah near Al-Jeer, and an exclave of Sharjah, Dibba Al-Hisn. Oman Air provides an air link between the capital of the country, Muscat, and the main administrative town of the governorate, Khasab.
