GOVERNMENT URGES CITIZENS TO HARVEST WATER FOR FUTURE USE
The Government of Kenya is urging Citizens to take advantage of of falling rains and conserve water.
The Government Spokesman, Dr. Alfred Mutua during weekly Press Briefing said Kenyans should harvest water which they can use for future purposes.
He added that the Government was keen on protecting the environment around Lake Turkana and the ongoing construction of dams across border in Ethiopia will not interfere with water levels on the Kenyan side of Lake Turkana.
He dispel fears by the locals saying the Kenyan Government is in consultation with the Ethiopian Government and environmental experts and there is no cause for alarm.
