One Day Trip To Geeveston, Tasmania!
We love to go to Geeveston for one day trip. Geeveston is a small town in the south of Tasmania. There are lots to see and do there.
We normally have brunch at Masaaki’s Sushi then take a walk at Platypus Walk. You may also visit the Forest & Heritage Centre, a tourist centre which details the history of the timber industry in the area.

Geeveston is a great place to see Platypus. There are apparently 11 living in the river that runs through the park, and this one had swum up into one of the lily ponds near the war memorial, and was incredibly tame.

The Platypus is a Monotreme, a Mammal that lays eggs.The only living monotremes are the platypus and 2 species of echidna ,all found only in Australia .
