Kurashiki et son quartier historique.
Un petit voyage dans le temps dans un quartier d'époque, avec une atmosphère bien préservée. Cet endroit était autrefois un port marchand spécialisé dans le commerce du riz.
J'ai eu aussi la chance de tomber sur un Matsuri à l'ambiance bien sympa !

Autumn in my favorite Kyoto temple garden -- one I have visited several times a year, for over 30 years. It's always different, sometimes dramatically. And it changes moment by moment.
The garden, featuring shakkei (borrowed landscape) incorporation of the view to Mt. Hiei, was laid out as part of an Imperial villa, in the early 1600s. When I first started going there, visitors were required to leave their cameras at the entrance, so they would experience the garden more contemplatively, as it was meant to be seen. The prospect of obstruction of this superb view by buildings lining a planned road below the precinct led the priests to allow photography as a means of raising support for height restrictions. Fortunately this tactic was successful... [This video by iPod touch, not the greatest image resolution, but ...you get the picture].

So since March 21 is a holiday, I decided to go to Kurashiki in Okayama Prefecture!
