Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! Malacca, (Malay: Melaka; Tamil: மலாக்கா, simplified Chinese: 马六甲; traditional Chinese: 馬六甲), dubbed The Historic State[citation needed], is a state in Malaysia located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Strait of Malacca.
The state is bordered by Negeri Sembilan to the north and west and Johor to the south. The exclave of Cape Rachado also borders Negeri Sembilan to the north. Its capital is Malacca City, which is 148 kilometres (92 miles) south east of Malaysia's capital city Kuala Lumpur, 235 kilometres (146 miles) north west of Johor's largest city Johor Bahru, and 95 km (59 miles) north west of Johor's second largest city, Batu Pahat. This historical city centre has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008.
Although it was the location of one of the earliest Malay sultanates, the local monarchy was abolished when the Portuguese conquered it in 1511. The head of state is the Yang di-Pertua Negeri or Governor, rather than a Sultan.
Malacca has adopted as its slogan, Visiting Malacca Means Visiting Malaysia (Melawat Melaka Bererti Melawati Malaysia).

Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia ll Top Things to do Malaysia ll Top Things to do Kuala Lumpur
New uploads every Monday and Friday!!!
The museum is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s tourist belt amidst the lush greenery of Perdana Botanical Gardens and within walking distance to the National Mosque, Bird Park and National Planetarium. The museum is the largest museum of Islamic arts in South East Asia with more than seven thousands artefacts from the Islamic world. An impressive architectural feat, Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia features a huge blue turquoise dome on top of the building, glass walls that allow natural light to flow in, domed ceilings adorned with intricate Islamic patterns, and a vast exhibition space which spans 30,000 square metres. The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia houses an exceptional library of Islamic books. Instead of concentrating on works from the heartlands of Persia and the Middle East, IAMM also puts the emphasis on Asia. China and Southeast Asia are especially well represented. The third component of the Malaysian melting pot is India, which is also given special status. India, China and the Malay world are in an exclusive category.
Other parts of the collection are displayed according to type of artifact rather than geographical origins in the museum’s 12 galleries.

Fall of Malacca
After Reconquista ended in late 15th century of expelling Muslim in Iberian peninsula, Portuguese plan to dominate spice trade and spread catholic religion in the indies. in 1510 they capture sultanate of Goa. and then in April 1511, Portuguese fleet led by Alfonso de Alburquerque (alfonso from Al-Barquq) consisted of 18 battleship and 1200 full armored army set sail from Cochin, India to conquer Sultanate of Malacca. Before arriving in Malacca, they raid the royal fleet of Sultanate of Pasai, Aceh and subdued them. Thus disabling Pasai to support defending neighbouring Malacca. Then, in July the siege of Malacca began,While Malaccan fleet are away, Sultan Mahmud Shah III, assembling the Malacca army & partisan to defend their city. The Portuguese then bombarded Malacca in 25 July 1511, along with embankment of Portuguesse troops. The Malaccans defend their city and sultanate valiantly. The battle took more than a month for the portuguese to conquer Malacca. Outugunned by the Portuguesse, the defender slaughtered by Portuguese army. But the Sultan and royal court managed to escape the onslaught, thus made the sultanate not yet conquered by Portuguese, although the capital fell to them. The Sultan continue the resistance from Riau Sultanate. While the trade in Malacca reduced because of Portuguesse prejudice towards muslim merchant from asia, the trade then shifted toward various port in the archipelago, namely Banten, Demak, Riau and Aceh. The Portuguese failed to revive the blooming trade, the Malacca once had. Then they construct so called 'impregnable' fortress of A Famosa and stand for more than 100 years in Malacca, before expelled by the alliance of Protestant Dutch, Sultanate of Johor and Sultanate of Aceh in 1644.
