Located at N55.22.861 W007.22.420 at a height of 187 feet (57m) above sea level. Malin Head (In Irish: Cionn Mhálanna) at the tip of the Inishowen peninsular in County Donegal is the most northern point of Ireland that has a rugged landscape and had a long history of communication with ships.
The head's rocky, weather-battered slopes feel like they're being dragged unwillingly into the sea. It's great for wandering on foot, absorbing the stark natural setting. The area is renowned for the welcoming of the friendly local people, epic coastal scenery, marine life, thriving birdlife , rock climbing and plenty of historical significance. The viewing platform with its talking telescope will give you close up views of the surrounding area.
The Hells Hole Coastal Trail Malin Head Donegal Ireland
This is a short but dramatically scenic walk along the coastal edge at Malin Head across the the aptly named Hells Hole at the northern tip of the Wild Atlantic Way. The hole is a deep chasm where the tide rushes in with impressive force.
There is another similar 'hole' like this at Ramore Head Portrush Northern Ireland. I believe that it is named locally as the Devils Punchbowl.

Here is a vlog of one of my favourite motorcycle rides. It is to the most northerly point in Ireland call Malin Head. It is located in County Donegal in Ireland. Some great scenery and great roads although a bit challenging. Filmed as while back but never posted. Forgive the audio as it is poor.

Malin Head; though not actually a town, has become a fairly large community, steadily growing as more new houses are being built. It has always been a strategically important part of the country, where observation posts and signal towers were erected to keep an eye on shipping movements passing the northern coast. From the Spanish Armada, to the French fleet during the Napoleonic Wars, and more recently, during the two world wars. Before satellite communication, there used to be a radio station here, and there is still an active weather station, which provides important data to local and international weather bureaux. The most northerly point in Ireland is marked by an old signal tower on top of a hill known as Banba's Crown. - A popular tourist destination. From here, probably the best views are looking south at the magnificent vista provided by the Inishowen Hills; though on a clear day, one can see as far as the Scottish Hebrides to the east and Tory Island to the west.
