Dubbed the “cleanest inland body of water” in the country, Malumpati Cold Spring is located in Pandan, Antique and is often visited by tourists because of its cool and soothing waters. It’s one of the top attractions in the municipality and its peaceful environment make it the perfect side trip before or after you visit nearby places like the vibrant island of Boracay or the adventure-packed Ariel’s Point.
So, why is it called Malumpati? I’ve done a little bit of research and found out that it comes from the phrase “Malumpat ang Ati.” Malumpat is a native term for “will jump” while Ati is an indigenous group primarily located in the island of Panay. Back then, the Ati people used to jump into the spring to take a bath in its clear blue waters.

It's located in Pandan, Antique. Not far from Boracay Island about 30 minutes to an hour by private van. Many koreans love to visit this place. Sure a beautiful place to visit when you are in Panay Island in the Philippines.
So clean that you can drink the water from the top source of the spring.

Antique Philippines - British Couple visit Malumpati Cold Springs
Welcome to malumpati cold springs, we just might be the first british couple to come to this part on antique province in the philippines.
antique is a big province mainly along the west coast of panay island in the philippines. Panay island is more known for boracay to foreigners but they all miss out on some of the very best and amazing parts of antique like malumpati cold springs.
entrance into malumpati cold springs was around 50 pesos each and if you choose to sit at the tables with shade then you must pay between 100-200 pesos more for that.
The water at malumpati cold spring is indeed very cold but in the hot philippines summer that is very welcome. The water is really clean and you can open your eyes underwater and see everything. There is also a diving board were people can jump from which is around 6 metres high.
This was a very family orientated place with famileys just enjoying familey time and relaxing and having fun. We highly recommend this place and look forward to seeing what more antique province has to offer in the philippines

Malumpati cold spring located in the northern part of Antique in the municipality of Pandan. A place for cold getaways during hot summer days. Water is cold, clean and clear. The place are always teeming with people. Often times visited by local & foreign tourist for its cold and soothing waters for relaxation. A memorable experience to treasured.
Accomodations/hotels/inns are available just nearby the cold spring.

We had a huge party at Malumpati Cold Springs in Pandan Antique. Seems like half the barangay was there! The resort is clean and well maintained. The water is freaking COLD! (thus the name) I think fun was had by all.

MALUMPATI Cold Spring - Cleanest inland body of water in the Philippines
Malumpati cold spring is located at the heart of Bugang River in Pandan, Antique Philippines.
The headspring is a 30 meter deep mystical blue lagoon. The water at the headspring is so clear and clean that you can drink directly with no filtration and treatment. The residents say that they get their drinking water from there. Some believe that water from the headspring has healing wonders.
Malumpati Cold Spring Resort
Malumpati is a place in Pandan that should not be missed. So, up we went to Malumpati. From the town proper of Pandan, we travelled at least 15-20 minutes by car going to Malumpati. The road from Barangay Sto. Rosario going to Malumpati was mixed of rough road and concrete road.
There was a certain part where the road was going uphill but the car had no problem with it. But a tricycle, one of the very common means of transporation in the Philippines, might have a problem with that road.
Malumpati Cold Spring is part of the Bugang River System stretching from Barangay Guia to Barangays Sto. Rosario and Zalivar in Pandan, Antique, Philippines.
Malumpati Cold Spring is a natural swimming pool with cool and clear water from the different natural springs of the river.
Malumpati Cold Spring Resort is also known as Malumpati Health Spring and Tourist Resort. It is believed to have medicinal properties for healing.
Malumpati Health Spring and Tourist Resort is located in the sitio of Malumpati in the barangay of Guia in the town of Pandan in the province of Antique, Island of Panay in the Visayas Region of the Philippine Archipelago.
Malumpati had a lot of people when we went there but we still enjoyed the cool and fresh water of the spring. It was indeed very refreshing.

ROAD TRIP || MALUMPATI COLD SPRING RESORT || PANDAN, ANTIQUE || BY THE PINEAPPLE FAMILY
The name “Malumpati” is derived from a local phrase “malumpat ang ati” which roughly translated to “aetas will jump.” Atis is one of the indigenous people (IP) groups in Panay island. According to local stories, when the spring is still unknown to many Ati people used to take a bath and jump in its clean and crystal clear blue waters. Thus, the place is known as Malumpati.
Entrance Fee
Admission fee is affordable but it varies if you’re a resident or not. See below:
Adults (non-residents): Php40
Adults (residents): Php20
Senior Citizens and PWD (non-residents): Php30
Senior Citizens and PWD (residents): Php15
Minors: Php10
Depending on the size, cottages for day tour varies from Php200 to Php500. You can also camp for free if you opt to bring your own tent. For overnight stays, there are huts or rooms good for 4 persons ranging between Php1200 to Php1800.
Activities
Aside from simply swimming in its pristine cool waters you can enjoy your water tubing experience for only Php200 per head. The fee already includes a guide and safety gears such as life-vest, helmet and tube.
You can also go on a trek at Php200 only for 5 persons with 1 guide.
And, if ever you get hungry and haven’t brought any food there’s a restaurant in the area that offers affordable meals!
