Island Hopping in Siargao: MAM-ON ISLAND | Surigao del Norte | Philippines | We.Are.Wanderful
INDEPENDENCE DAY (JUNE 12) 2016—Johan and Marielle just finished their Independence Day Surfing Lessons in Cloud 9 by mid-morning. We just took quick showers and went straight to the General Luna marina and boarded the outrigger that will be our limousine service for the rest of the day as we explored five of Siargao's smaller islands—Guyam, Daku, Naked Island, La Januza, and Mam-on.
Mam-on and La Januza are the farthest ones and our first stop will be Mam-on. Very few visitors get to set foot on it because it is very far from the main island of Siargao. But it is very pristine and beautiful with azure waters, very gentle waves, and fine white sands with a very slight tinge of tan and pink.

Island hopping around Siargao is a must do activity. We spent the day exploring some of the surrounding islands, and they exceeded every expectation I had coming in. Our first stop at Corregidor was far and away the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I could not have been more inspired by the landscapes and people.

This was the first time I ever tried to make narrated content. I wanted to create something that really captured how much I loved my time in Siargao, my appreciation, and the moments that really mattered. This was one of the best experiences of my life, and much of it is thanks to the local people that gave me so much. Could not be more thankful to have stayed here, and explored everything it has to offer. Siargao is a paradise that goes beyond its landscapes.

JUNE 12, 2016—Naked Island is one of the 3 islands near the main island of Siargao that we visited on our return trip after visiting the two faraway islands of Mam-on and La Januza. For those expecting to see naked people on this island, sorry folks but the only thing naked here is the island itself. But the sand is very fine and white, and the water clear and just the right temperature. Recommended to visit late in the afternoon when it is no longer too hot.
Great place for watching the sunset, too, althought for that it is recommended to go to nearby Guyam for even more spectacular sunset photos.
