Manabe garden is located in Obihiro, Hokkaido. The garden is composed of three parts, a traditional Japanese garden, a western style garden, and a nature landscape garden. The collection of trees and plants keeps increasing every year and has already reached over a thousand cultivars.

庭園は、帯広駅から４ｋｍ南の札内川の川岸にあり、日本初のコニファー(針葉樹)ガーデンとしても知られます。園内には、色とりどりの落葉樹、開拓以前から残る古木、北ヨーロッパ、カナダなどから輸入された北方系外来樹種、園芸樹種などが植えられており、庭は24,000坪に及び、日本庭園・西洋風庭園・風景式庭園で構成されていますが森林庭園といった感じです。初期は樹木の輸入や生産、販売をする会社の庭園だったが１９６６年から一般開放。北海道の開拓以前から残る貴重な古木や珍しい植物など、真鍋庭園ならではのコレクションがある。開園期間4月28日～12月2日（2012年）

Garden is a private botanical garden established in Obihiro in 1966.
The eight hectares open to the public include Japanese, European and 'Scenic' sections and a gardening centre.
This garden is famous as the first Conifer garden in Japan.
The well established trees and rare plants of this garden have been there since before the development of Hokkaido.
It is worthwhile to see and experience its deep rooted history.

Tokachi Hills Tokachi Hills The theme of this garden is food. The main plants here and the beans of Tokachi, alongside vegetables, cereal crops, fruit, herbs, and edible flowers. Besides being beautiful to look at, it also boasts a delicious restaurant. Hungarian chef Victor Moldován prepares dishes using fresh ingredients that he picks each day from the garden.

Shichiku Garden Shichiku Garden The owner of this garden, Akiyo Shichiku, devoted herself to this project after her husband died. Her aim was to create a scenery of fields full of wild flowers, just like she remembers from when she was a child. After more than 20 years of constant effort, the result is this beautiful garden.

Rokka-no Mori Rokka-no Mori This landscape-type garden was opened by a long established Hokkaido-based confectionery maker, Rokkatei. The aim was to create a scenery inspired by the designs of wild flowers and plants on the wrapping paper that the company has used since the old days.

Shikisai-no-oka: A Grand Garden in the Heart of Hokkaidō | Nippon.com: Japan in Video
Shikisai-no-oka is a 14-hectare flower garden in Biei, a town located in central Hokkaidō. A 15-minute ride in the canopied cars of Norokko, the garden’s tractor bus, takes visitors on a circuit of the grounds, where 50 types of ornamental plants are displayed in rotation from May through October. The pretty blossoms of June include poppies and bellflowers. In July and August lavender and snapdragons are among the plants that turn entire fields into multicolored carpets. And from mid-September to October the garden showcases autumn flowers like marigolds and plumed cockscombs.
