We Said Go Travel October 2, 2012 Mandalay Hill and the World's Biggest Book
We walked to the top of Mandalay Hill Pagoda. The heat as well as the number of steps shocked me. I guess that is why they kept offering us transport!
After we survived the 104degree heat we walked into the World's Largest Book, more than 700 stone slabs are inscribed with Buddhist teachings. When I first read about the largest book in the Lonely Planet, I wasn't sure I even wanted to go. I am so glad I did. It is incredible! Walking in a book was the highlight of my day! Thanks to Anke and Moritz for being great travel companions!

HTC CEO Ko Win Than (a) Peter Chou, Eko and Sam visited our hometown, Mandalay in May, 2012. This visit is for Peter first time back to Myanmar after he left to Taiwan for 30 years ago. For me last visiting was 12 years ago. We had a good times with old friends.

According to Wikipedia, Mandalay Hill is a 240 metres hill that is located to the northeast of the city centre of Mandalay in Myanmar. The city took its name from the hill. Mandalay Hill is known for its abundance of pagodas and monasteries, and has been a major pilgrimage site for Burmese Buddhists for nearly two centuries.

Mandalay - Burmese Royal City | Mandalay Hill | Myanmar drone video
Mandalay is a city and former royal capital in northern Myanmar (formerly Burma) on the Irrawaddy River. In its center is the restored Mandalay Palace from the Konbaung Dynasty, surrounded by a moat. Mandalay Hill provides views of the city from its summit, which is reached by covered stairway. At its foot, the Kuthodaw Pagoda houses hundreds of Buddhist-scripture-inscribed marble slabs.
