Have you ever thought about cruising to Mandurah from Fremantle? Well, it's not that hard providing you choose the right conditions.
I have put together a short video on the journey from Fremantle inside the islands and reef to hopefully make you feel more comfortable making on the voyage on your own boat and opening up another great local destination.
Mandurah provides a fantastic location where you can anchor free of charge in front of the city and have access to some amazing restaurants and shops including Dolphin Quay, playgrounds and water parks.
You can head out into the ocean to ski or surf or head into the estuary for some fishing and crabbing depending on the weather.
Over the xmas period the canals come alive as local canal residents illuminate their houses with xmas decorations.
Mandurah is a fantastic alternative to Rottnest Island.

While everything was starting to gear up for the Good Earth Mandurah Pro. With all the competitors flying in early for the comp. we had the chance to head down south and make the most of good conditions and watch them free surf.

LEARNING HOW TO SURF | Surfing in Perth, Western Australia
It's kind of true, when travelling I often milk the Australian stereotype. Like; Yes of course! We all ride Kangaroos to school. And another one would be that I would say how good I am at surfing (mainly used to flirt with international ladies).
Drew didn't approve of me saying I am a surfer without actually getting out there in the cold. Pissing in my wetsuit to keep me warm and getting up on the board.
This is my attempt at doing an art that I know I've already mastered... kind of... not really :')

After Busselton, we wanted to rush to Rockingham for sunset. However, we were still quite far from it, so we dropped by this beach in Mandurah. THE SUNSET WAS REALLY REALLY MESMERIZING! Blown away man, blown away.

Mandurah is the second-largest city in Western Australia, located approximately 72 kilometres south of the state capital, Perth.
The city centre foreshore is home to a variety of wildlife including dolphins, pelicans, shags, and an abundance of marine life including the blue manna crab which has become synonymous with the area.
