When I talked to friends and the Life Where I'm From community about going to the capital city of the Philippines, Manila, many warned me about the traffic. One community member even offered to show me her commute, so of course, I jumped at the opportunity.
At first I thought, oh yeah, everyone complains about their area's drivers, and the congestion is bad, and you know, here it's the worst. But after reading some reports, traffic in the Philippines, and especially Manila, really is some of the worst in the world.
I've filmed a lot about the Philippines, so I might be making 2-3 more videos, and perhaps one that talks specifically about Manila's Traffic problem.
What's the commute like where you're from?

Manila Philippines Nightlife - Makati's P. Burgos Street
A walk down Manila's legendary P. Burgos street, one of the red light districts, known mostly for Go go bars and Massage parlors. However I found that there are regular bars, unique and chill, fun people, mostly foreigners from many different countries who are out and about checking out the unique nightlife (And what is arguably the indigenous wildlife) in this urban region of the Philippines.

Walking Through The Streets Of Manila, Philippines
2019 Philippines - Bars, Casino and Karaoke in Manila
I start my night out on Del Pilar Stree in Ermita/Malate, Manila Philippines at Dusk Til Dawn Bar. After 2 beers at Dusk Til Dawn i move on to check out the notorious LA Cafe Nightclub in Manila.
The LA Cafe Nightclub in Manila has a strict no camera policy, so i was unable to capture any video inside. I am not sure if it is multi level or not. I stayed on the ground floor. A small to medium sized area with a bar in the center. The room is well lit and the customers, mainly female are sitting and standing in their small group enjoying the music. I am approached by 2 lovely ladies who say Welcome to p***y Island
After 2 quick drinks i decide to try my luck at Casino Filipino, a small Casino on Roxas Boulevard, Ermita Manila. After some time i have played 6 games, winning 3 and losing 3. I break even on the Roulette table. A quick game is a good game, unfortunately the croupier was too slow for me and i move on.
As i walk along the road i begin to see many KTV Karaoke bars. I am new to Ermita and Malate, Manila so i ask some questions to the touts out front. I am told several things from several different KTV karaoke bars. The entrance fee varied from 400-500 PHP. This includes all you can drink for 90-120 minutes depending on the establishment. In the end it was KTV Perfume Girls who i decide to go and have a drink in.
Once inside i am brought ice and asked what i would like to drink. I choose White Castle, a Philippines Whiskey. I select 2 girls to keep me company, 300 PHP each and 2 Lady drinks, 300 PHP each.
After some small talk and some drinking i start to warm up and i am ready to perform karaoke for the 1st time. My heart is pumping and i am nervous with excitement. My song of choice is It's My Life performed by Jon Bon Jovi. Once i open my mouth, all nerves disappear as i perform one of the greatest renditions of It's My Life this world has ever seen.
The girls select some songs for their own enjoyment before i decide to show off my vocal range with the Whitney Houston classic I will always love you.
After 2 hours, 4 lady drinks, half a bottle of White Castle and many songs it is time for me to leave. I catch a taxi from Ermita/Malate to P.Burgos Street in Makati Manila which is where my hotel room is. I quickly stop off at Argos Mini Bar for a apple and mint shisha to chill me out before going back to my room to sleep.
