The Nonsuch | The Manitoba Museum | Manitoba History
The Manitoba Museum located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, is home to Manitoba's history. The Call it Home program offers students an opportunity to visit the museum and explore the history of Manitoba, care of the wonderful galleries that tell our story. The world famous Nonsuch Gallery showcases a replica of the famous ship that sailed from England across the atlantic into the Hudson Bay in 1668 helping to establish the fur trade in Manitoba. So encouraged were investors by the outcomes of the voyage, they approached King Charles for a charter to establish a trading company. The Hudson Bay company was founded in May, 1670, which became instrumental in the founding of the Province of Manitoba. Be transported back to a time of fur trading and sea travel. The Nonsuch Exhibit is a must visit experience for those looking to explore Manitoba's heritage, art, and culture. Looking for things to do in Winnipeg?
