Advance Australia Fair - (Australian National Anthem) - Matt Zarb
G'day folks,
Here is a version of the Australian National Anthem, Advance Australia Fair
This rendition is similar in feel to the version that our Aussie Kids sing along with at school functions. The main reason for my version spawned from many situations over the years where our anthem was sung at a major sporting event or an official function where the people either did not know the words or could just not sing along with an epic version sung by an equally epic singer.
It is a great thing to hear a person with an amazing voice deliver such a powerful anthem but I am afraid that not everyone's gift including mine.
So thought I'll create a version with absolute attitude and conviction like this one.
I have been singing this version for quite a while now and of late I have singing it just for fun at shows along with songs like Waltzing Matilda and other Aussie favourite sing along songs.
When we get singing this version of Advance Australia Fair they sing loud and clear..
This performance is from our Australia Day awards and nationalisation ceremony on the 26th of January 2015 filmed by my good mate Jake Davey at the Manning Valley Entertainment Centre.
It was an honour to be asked to sing the song at such an event.
I hope this rendition can become the user friendly version that will inspire people to just have a go and sing their heads off.
