शिवालिक पर्वत शृंखला पर एक पर्वत पर है माता का भव्य मंदिर, दरबार में पहुंचने के लिए दो रस्ते है. पैदल का रास्ता जिसमे 187 सीढ़ियों के बाद लगभग 1 km के पक्के रस्ते पर चलना होगा और दूसरा है रोप वे जिसे बोलचाल की भाषा में उड़नखटोला भी कहा जाता है ...वैसे तो ये काफी रोमांचक है मगर इसके इंतज़ार में वक्त लग सकता है. इसका प्रति व्यक्ति किराया है 90 रुपये. मार्गे में छुटपुट दुकाने और लंगूर मिलेंगे साथ ही साथ पहाड़ी रस्ते पर कई ऐसी जगह है जहाँ से दूर तक फैली हुई पहाड़िया, उसमे लुका छिपी खेलती हुए गंगा नदी यानि की पूरा का पूरा हरिद्वार देखने को मिलता है.... quiz question no. 2 माता का मंदिर किस परवर श्रंखला पर है? पैदल रास्ते में एक शार्ट कट भी है जो जंगल से होकर जाता है,...लोकल लोग ज्यादा तर उसी रस्ते का प्रयोग करते है. ...एक सामान्य चढ़ाई के बाद मंदिर के पास एक छोटी सी मार्किट मिलेगी जिसमे प्रसाद या पूरा जा सामान मिलता है. ...सामान्य दिनों में तो दर्शन आसानी से हो जाते है मगर नवरात्री या विशेष पर्व पर काफी भीड़ होती है....यही पर है एक वृक्ष जिसमे लोग मन्नत का धागा बांधते है....और मन्नत पूरी होने पर दोबारा खोलने आते है.

First we are going for Mansa devi here is the Entry gate for Cable car, As you can see there is a long queue and during festivals and navaratri the crowd gathering is huge, it took us 10-15 minutes to get till the cable car
now we have boarded the roapway towards mansa devi temple,
this mountain is called as Bilwa parvat, there is also a path for trekking which is about 3 KMs, total length of this ropeway is about 540 Metres and the distance will be covered in few minutes, Mansa devi is considered to be a form of shakti, The term Mansa which is a hindi word means wish and it is believed that the goddess fulfils all the wishes of devotees, Mansa devi temple is also considered as SIddh peeth,the temple is open between 5 am and 9 pm, except for lunch closings of 12 pm to 2 pm.

we have reached the top and time to get down from cable car, now we are entering inside the temple compound, as you can there are multiple shops, where you can buy things for pooja, you can leave your footwear at shoe stand and proceed further to the temple, here's the entrance to the temple, as photography and videography inside the temple is prohibited we cannot cover view inside the temple.

This temple along with the nearly located Chandi Devi Temple is visited by thousands of devotees from various parts of the country, and especially during the Navaratri and the Kumbha Mela in Haridwar.
It is said that Devi Mansa and Chandi, the two forms of goddess Parvati always reside close to each other. This belief can also be found true in other case since near to the Mata Mansa Devi Mandir in Panchkula, Haryana, there is a Chandi Mandir located nearby in Chandigarh.

मनसा देवी मंदिर एक प्रसिद्ध धार्मिक स्थल है जो कि हरिद्वार में हर की पौड़ी के पास गंगा किनारे पहाड़ी पर स्थित श्रधा एवम् आस्था का केंद्र है | यह धार्मिक स्थल हरिद्वार शहर से लगभग 3 किमी दूर स्थित है | यह मंदिर 52 शक्तिपीठों में से एक है | हरिद्वार के “चंडी देवी” और “माया देवी” के साथ “मनसा देवी” को भी सिद्ध पीठों में प्रमुख माना जाता है | मनसा देवी को शाक्ति का एक रूप माना जाता है । यह मंदिर माँ मनसा को समर्पित है , जिन्हे वासुकी नाग की बहन बताया गया है | कहते है कि माँ मनसा शक्ति का ही एक रूप है , जो कश्यप ऋषि की पुत्री थी , जो उनके मन से अवतरित हुई थी और मनसा कहलवाई | मनसा देवी के बारे में यह भी माना जाता है कि मनसा देवी और चण्डी देवी दोनों पार्वती के दो रूप है जो एक दूसरे के करीब रहते है। ऐसा भी माना जाता है कि भगवान शंकर की मन से उभरी एक शक्ति है। ‘मनसा’ शब्द का प्रचलित अर्थ “इच्छा” है ।
नाम के अनुसार “मनसा” माँ अपने भक्तो की मनसा (इच्छा) पूर्ण करने वाली है | भक्त अपनी इच्छा पूरी करने के लिए मंदिर प्रांगण में स्थित पेड की शाखा पर एक पवित्र धागा बाँधते है | जब भक्तो की इच्छा पुरी हो जाती है तो भक्त पुनः आकर उसी धागे को शाखा से खोल देते है | इस प्रथा से माता के प्रति असीम श्रधा , भक्ति और निष्ठा दिखाई देती है | भक्त मनसा माँ को खुश करने के लिए मंदिर में नारियल , प्रसाद एवम् मिठाई आदि भेटस्वरुप चढाते है | यह मंदिर सिद्ध पीठ है ,जहाँ का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त होता है | इस मंदिर में माँ मनसा की दो मूरत है , एक मूरत “आठ भुजाओ” वाली व अन्य मूरत के “तीन सिर” और “पाँच भुजाये” है

Mansa Devi Temple is a Siddh Peetha which are the places of worship where desires get fulfilled. It is one of three such Peethas located in Haridwar, the other two being Chandi Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple.[3] The inner shrine has two deities installed, one with eight arms and the other one three headed with five arms

About Mansa Devi Temple Haridwar :

The first cable car starts running at 7 a.m. during April to October, and 8 a.m. the rest of the year. Tickets cost 48 rupees per person, return. The departure point is centrally located in town.
Things to do in Mansa Devi Temple
Devotees who visit the temple usually like to take some Parasad (offerings) for the Goddess. There's no shortage of sellers, either where you board the cable car or outside the temple. Bags containing a coconut and flowers sell for around 50 rupees, and it's possible to buy plates of flowers for around 20 rupees. The entry to the temple is also lined with vendors peddling everything from jewelry to music. Navaratri festival is celebrated here. People came here for full fill their requirement.

There's another temple, Chandi Devi Temple that can also be visited by cable car or bus from Mansa Devi Temple. It's possible to buy combination tickets for both. You can also visit Har ki Pauri by walk or by Rickshaw.

Maa Mansa Devi Temple Ropeway or Cable Car in Haridwar
MANSA DEVI TEMPLE - Haridwar (Uttarakhand)
Mansa Devi Temple is an ancient temple that attracts people from both far and near due to its significance. The temple is considered a must visit for the pilgrims going to Haridwar. It enhances the holy tradition of Haridwar which persists in the place from many past centuries. It offers views of the River Ganges and the plains of Haridwar. To reach the shrine one has to either follow the trekking route up to this holy shrine or ride on the recently introduced rope-way service. The rope-way service known as Mansa Devi Udankhatola was introduced for the benefit of the pilgrims and it caters to the pilgrims also to the nearby located Chandi Devi shrine. The rope-way carries the pilgrims from the lower station directly to the Mansa Devi Temple. The total length of the rope-way is 540 metres 1,770 ft and the height it covers is 178 metres 584 ft. On a normal day, the temple is open between 8 am and 5 pm, except for lunch closings of 12 pm to 2 pm.
This temple along with the nearby located Chandi Devi temple is visited by thousands of devotees from various parts of the country, and especially during the Navratra and the Kumbha Mela in Haridwar. It is said that goddesses Mansa and Chandi, the two forms of goddess Parvati always reside close to each other. This belief can also be found true in other case since near to the Mata Mansa Devi Mandir in Panchkula, Haryana, there is a Chandi Mandir located nearby in Chandigarh.
