Senior Firefighter Greg Mauchline A Tribute ???? (Long Run)
( Long Run Version)
Tribute to our colleague Senior Firefighter Greg Mauchline.
We see you
Through the embers and ash
The unrelenting heat and heavy packs
The sooty clothes and singed boots
The smoke covered hills and roasted wood
The sweaty helmets and blackened gloves
The screaming sirens and straining hose
The radio chatter and rotor wash
We see you
The man, the father, the son, the firefighter, the friend,
Our brother,
We see you

Stationmaster Bagpipes Music In Railway Station In Perth Perthshire Scotland
Tour Scotland travel video of a stationmaster and a Scottish Piper playing bagpipes music in the railway station in Perth on visit to Perthshire. The Great Highland bagpipe, Scottish Gaelic: a' phìob mhòr, is a type of bagpipe native to Scotland. It has acquired widespread recognition through its usage in the British military and in pipe bands throughout the world. Though popular belief sets varying dates for the introduction of bagpipes to Scotland, concrete evidence is limited until approximately the 15th century. One clan still owns a remnant of a set of bagpipes said to have been carried at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. There are many ancient legends and stories about bagpipes which were passed down through minstrels and oral tradition, whose origins are now lost. However, textual evidence for Scottish bagpipes is more definite in 1396, when records of the Battle of the North Inch of Perth, Perthshire, reference warpipes being carried into battle

66603 Freightliner Passes Newton-on Ayr 16/09/16
Freight running was 6M26 Hunterston Ll Fhh to Carlisle N.Y. and it passed Newton-on Ayr with clag at 10:49 running 29 minutes early.
This is the first time I have ever seen MWA wagons and they look good in the green colours along with the new Freightliner logo! It came from North Blyth heading to Hunterston Low Level and it was hauling over 2000 tons which means it was hauling whatever it was to Hunterston than from! But its great to know that Freightliner are still doing runs to Hunterston! Thanks for watching.

Great Britain IV Scotland 2011
A compilation of Great Britain IV clips I got from my recent trip to Scotland.
Featuring; Black 5s, Great Marquess and Scots Guardsman
Locations include; Kingussie Station, Invergorden station, Invershin Viaduct, Nairn Station, Culloden Viaduct, Achnasheen, Inverness Station, Findhorn Viaduct. (There may be more I have forgotten. The location is introduced before each change in location)
I did have another clip of Great Marquess and Scots Guardsman over Findhorn, but annoyingly my camcorder cut that video in half and deleted the best bit with whistles so haven't included it here.
Also thanks to the skateboarding idiots at Invergorden station who had no interest in trains whatsoever and tried their hardest to get in my way - I have cut you out so your aim of featuring in my video was a FAIL.
Sorry about windnoise and some shaking, prefer to not lug a tripod around with me. The one I have takes up loads of room and couldn't be bothered to carry it up on the train with me.
Thanks to my grandad for driving me about this time.
An amazing trip, will hopefully be repeating it next year, this time with me and a hire car!
And also thanks to the drivers for the impressive performances, especially to the black 5s for their Kingussie departure.
Enjoy!

Prehistoric art in Scotland

Prehistoric art in Scotland is visual art created or found within the modern borders of Scotland, before the departure of the Romans from southern and central Britain in the early fifth century CE, which is usually seen as the beginning of the early historic or Medieval era. There is no clear definition of prehistoric art among scholars and objects that may involve creativity often lack a context that would allow them to be understood. The earliest examples of portable art from what is now Scotland are highly decorated carved stone balls from the Neolithic period, which share patterns with Irish and Scottish stone carvings.Other items from this period include elaborate carved maceheads and figurines from Links of Noltland, including the Westray Wife, which is the earliest known depiction of a human face from Scotland.
