Mapro Garden is a very very popular tourist spot in Mahabaleshwar. Mapro premises has Chocolate factory, a small nursery, a restaurant serving delectable food, children's play area and retail outlet selling mapro products.

Strawberry Festival

Famous For: Strawberries for free!

Mapro Garden Mapro also hosts famous Strawberry Festival in the month of March/April during the Easter weekend. Over 250 farmers from nearby villages participate in the four-day festival, opening their farms to tourists. Mapro garden offers strawberries completely free to the tourists.

Strawberry Festival Panchgani The Festival showcases raw strawberries and innovative strawberry-based products such as strawberry pizza, strawberry bhel, chocolate dipped strawberries and strawberry sandwiches among others.

The festival also includes traditional folk performances of Dhol and Lezim for which dancers are invited from Pratapgad.

Mapro which was founded in 1959 by Mr. Kishor Vora, has a processing capacity of about 30,000 tonnes per year across its four different factories. Mapro revenue has been more than Rs. 100 crores.

Falero, pulpy fruit chews is Mapro's most popular product contributing around 50% of total revenue. Tourists can buy variety of Mapro products like syrups, sauces, jelly, chocolates, mocktail mixtures and much more.

The restaurant serves limited food options but food quality is excellent.

Mapro is a food processing company founded in 1959, in the hill-town of Panchgani, near Mahabaleswar - a popular tourist destination near Mumbai. Mapro was started by Kishore Vora a pharmacist by profession and later (1983 onwards) grown by his nephew Mayur Vora. The high fruit juice content of Mapro's crushes and squashes - 45 per cent, compared to 25 per cent for rivals Kissan and Mala's - made them instant hits.

Mapro Garden was established in the 1980s as an extension of the Mapro Foods Factory which enabled visitors to see the production of jams and syrups. On realising that the customers enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, they began serving ice-cream to the visitors. Later, other food items made from organic ingredients were put up on the menu, and today, it has turned into an iconic tourist destination. An auditorium here showcases the journey of Mapro products, and you can also buy your favourite jams and juices after tasting them from the retail outlet that is present here.
