City Description:
Maragogi is a resort town on the Atlantic coast in eastern Brazil. It’s known for its long beaches such as Burgalhau, near the mangrove-lined Dos Paus River. Offshore coral reefs and sandbars have created a shallow lagoon, which acts as a natural pool. South of Maragogi is São Bento, a fishing village with a palm-edged beach. The coast here is part of the Coral Coast protected area, which is rich in flora and fauna.
Weather and Events:
The beaches in Maragogi are busiest in summer (Dec–Mar), when the weather is warmest. Brazil’s annual Carnival celebrations (Feb/Mar) also make summer a popular time to visit. The dry season (Sep–Feb) is a good time to snorkel in the lagoon, when the water visibility is at its clearest.

The Beaches of Maragogi
Maragogi is a small fishing village in the state of Alagoas, Brazil. It is part of an area in the Northeast called the Caribbean of Brazil. The natural pools and clear blue water is absolutely beautiful. The reef calms the waters and it is perfect for swimming in.

We wanted to share this beautiful beach in Maragogi, AlagoasBrazil. This paradise just happens to be in front of Jesus' campground, no joke.
Jesus decided to leave his 9-5, bought some land and built a campground in front of this beach !
We were fortunate enough to have an amazing day Discovering Carneiros, met some great friends and later they introduced us to Jesus. We spoke with Jesus, got a tour of his campground and took some time to enjoy the view from the hammock!
We hope this 40 second video allows you to escape the daily hustle, relax or daydream a little !
