#The Maravanthe beach is a beautiful beach town with white sand spread miles and miles along the coast fetches the beach a nickname of Virgin Beach.[1] This place has been identified by government agencies as having potential for tourism with leaflets proclaiming several facilities.[4] There are places to stay on the highway,[1] but the alternative would be at the nearby town, Kundapura.

Souparnika river makes a U-turn in the east side of temple, This river makes islands, which are called kudru. The eastern view from this point is beautiful with palm trees, green fields[2] and Kodachadri peak visible at the far eastern end and makes a reflection in the river.

Maravanthe is a village and a beach near Kundapura, Karnataka, India.
Outlook travel considers it one of Karnataka's most beautiful beaches. It is about 55 km from Udupi. NH-66 runs next to the beach and the Suparnika River flows on the other side of the road, creating a spectacular scenery that is considered the only one of its kind in India. The Suparnika, which almost touches Arabian Sea here, makes a U-turn and goes westward to join the sea after a journey of more than 10 km

ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತ ಮರವಂತೆ(ತ್ರಾಸಿ) ಬೀಚ್ ಬಳಿ ಇರುವ ಪಡುಕೋಣೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಜನರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಊರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಹೊಳೆಯೊಂದು ಅಡ್ಡ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ದೋಣಿಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೊಳೆ ದಾಟಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ, ಸಿಮೆಂಟ್ ಸೇತುವೆಯ ರಚನೆಯಾದ ಮೇಲೆ. ಒಂದು ಕಡೆ ಸಮುದ್ರ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕಡೆ ಹಿನ್ನೀರು ಹೊಳೆ, ಮಧ್ಯೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ. ಇಂತಹ ಸುಂದರ ಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಇದೀಗ ಸುಮಾರು ನೂರು ಮೀಟರುಗಳ ಸಿಮೆಂಟ್ ಸೇತುವೆ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿವರಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ವೀಡಿಯೋ ನೋಡಿ.

Maraswamy Temple, Maravanthe

Maravanthe is a village and a beach near Kundapura, Karnataka, India. Outlook travel considers it one of Karnataka's most beautiful beaches. It is about 55 kilometres (34 mi) from Udupi. NH-66 runs right next to the beach and the Suparnika River flows on the other side of the road, creating a spectacular scenery and considered only one of its kind in India. The river Souparnika, which almost touches Arabian Sea here, makes a U turn and goes westward to join the Sea only after a journey of more than 10 kilometres.
Maraswamy temple is located on beach near Maravanthe and this temple has three garbha griha where three deities are worshiped. One of the deity is Varaha or wild boar and this makes one of the rare temples of India dedicated to Varaha; and the temple is also called Varahaswamy temple. Tortoise, crocodile and fish are also part of worship in this temple, as depicted by rock drawings laid in front of garbhagudi of three deities. Souparnika river makes a U turn in the east side of temple and this river also makes islands, which are called Kudru. The eastern side view from this point is beautiful with palm trees, green fields and Kodachadri peak visible at far eastern end also makes a reflection in the river Souparnika.

Maravanthe Beach - The only special beach of India | ಮರವಂತೆ ಸಮುದ್ರ - ಭಾರತದ ಏಕೈಕ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಬೀಚ್

Maravante Beach is the only beach in India with beach on one side of the road and river on the other. Here is a small travel vlog where we visited Maravante Beach. We also got a chance to meet students from Bangalore who came there for the NSS camp with Swach Bharath mission.

The Maravanthe beach is a beautiful beach town with white sand spread miles and miles along the coast fetches the beach a nickname of Virgin Beach. This place has been identified by government agencies as having potential for tourism with leaflets proclaiming several facilities. There are places to stay on the highway, but the alternative would be at the nearby town, Kundapura.

At the nearby Gangoli port, tourists can request fishermen and, for a fee, accompany them to the sea the next day, at 4am, and stay fishing with the locals till noon.
