The Dhuandhar Falls are located on Narmada River in Bhedaghat at a distance of 25 kilometer from Jabalpur city in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. Dhuandhar falls is 30 meters high. The Narmada River, making its way through the world-famous Marble Rocks here at bhedaghat, Jabalpur. Enrite Narmada river plunges in a waterfall known as Dhuandhaar. The plunge, which creates a bouncing mass of mist. There is also a ropeway over the Dhuyadhar falls. The round trip ticket cost of ropeway is is Rs 80. The best time to visit Dhuandhar falls is during in Sharad Purnima, when Narmada Mahotsava get celebrated. The white marbles looks magnificient at full moon night. When you come to Dhuandhar don't forget to take a boat ride in the valley of white marble.

We visited this geological masterpiece at a small town called Bhedaghat in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. We took a boat on river Narmada that flows through the stunningly beautiful marble rocks. Dhuandhar waterfall is another major attraction here.
We also visited Bhopal, Bhimbetka caves and Sanchi stupa. I hope to upload videos ASAP.

Bhedaghat is a town and a nagar panchayat in Jabalpur district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is situated by the side of river Narmada and is approximately 20 km from Jabalpur city. Its most famous sights are the Dhuandhar falls, Marble Rocks.
Its major attraction is a waterfall known as Dhuandhar, which looks like smoke coming out of the river and therefore it got its name as Dhuan(smoke)-dhar(flow of water). Another major attraction is 'Bandar Kodini', when one travels in between the marble rocks in a boat, the mountains at both the sides at one point come so close that the monkeys are able to jump across them, hence the name Bandar Kodini. In a moonlit night, the travel between the marble rock mountains in a boat on the river Narmada is one of the popular tourist attractions here.

The local marble is mined and carved into various figures and transported all over India.The Marble Rocks are a gorge along part of the Narmada River's 1,077 km (669.2 mi) path through Madhya Pradesh.[1] The white marbles are predominantly rich in magnesium and are closer in hardness to soap stone. This softness allows them to be carved easily using just a scalpel. The area is also rich in blue and brown colored marble.

Virgin beauty of nature at its majestic form can be seen in #Bhedaghat. Soaring in glittering splendour, the Marble Rocks at #Bhedaghat rise to a hundred feet on either side of the #Narmada.
The awesome lovely marble rocks are amazing. Boating in this #canyon is a splendid experience. The serene loveliness of the scene is one of cool quiet, the sunlight sparkling on the marble-white pinnacles and casting dappled shadows on the pellucid waters.
These white rocks with views of black and dark green volcanic seams are truly majestic and produce a magical effect on moonlit nights. The holy river flows by tranquility flanked by the towering cliffs which reflect in it like a mirror the changing moods of nature. A little distance away, it becomes turbulent as it plunges in a mighty waterfall known as Dhuandhar.
In his Highlands of Central India Captain J. Forsyth speaks eloquently about the infinitely varied beauty of the rocks: the eye never wearies of the ... the effect produced by the broken and reflected sunlight, now glancing from a pinnacle of snow-white marble reared against the deep blue of the sky as from a point of silver, touching here and there with bright lights the prominence of the middle heights and again losing itself in the soft bluish greys of their recesses. . . Here and there the white saccharine limestone is seamed by veins of dark green or black volcanic rock; a contrast which only enhances like a setting of jet, the purity of the surrounding marble.
